Sentinel Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Hey all,I've been lucky enough to have a few gigs at a local pub, its great fun and I've had good feedback from people. Only thing is my name is, I admit, confusing and a lot of the locals have given up trying to pronounce it and given me the unofficial title of Schnitzel lol. Basically me and some friends thought about running with that and changing my DJ name to Schnitty.. I guess I want to know your thoughts on it!Cheers Quote
Lurk6r Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 Schnitty...In a pub it might be okay, its very matesy. Think about how it would work out in a club or private gig environment. It would suck to build up a following then have to build it up again if you change your name Quote
GREMM1S Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Wouldnt hurt to go under that at the pub but wouldnt be taking that into clubs really Quote
mattus123 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 What these guys said.. probs not good for a club scenehaving said that, it wouldn't be hard to tweak it so that it becomes suitableeven by dropping the 'y' it makes it more suitable i recon Quote
Mitch Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 too close to being dj shitwhich i wouldn't really wanna be called Quote
Sentinel Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Thanks for your input guys! Yeah, given some time the novelty of it has rubbed off and I appreciate it sounding unprofessional. For now the original name stays.. any ideas on how to make it easier to understand? I've thought about removing the 3s to make English other than that.. improve Central West literacy (I didn't think Sentinel was all that hard to say)?Cheers Quote
Mitch Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 sentinel isn't hard to say. Maybe removing the 3's will help it read easier, which will make those with a lower brain cell count possibly pronounce it correctly Quote
Lurk6r Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Instead of 3s, why not go with backwards, E's like eminem? Quote
