ez.

My MBP is telling me to get my battery serviced.

I've been searching macrumours etc to try and find out if I need to do this or if there are workarounds or even what may have caused this. There are so many fecked up threads relating to this topic though...

Can anyone give me a simple low down or a link to a thread that actually makes sense please?

Basically means your battery has fallen below a certain a certain percentage, and therefore won't last as long on battery compared to when it was new.

However it is fine to keep using as is.

If battery life worries you, you could get it replaced.

What model is it? I think around 2009 they changed to internal batteries?

My old macbook said it for a while, it doesn't matter TOO much. i replaced it after it said it for about 1.5 yrs but mine was an external battery so that was ez

Nice 1 Mitch. Half-expected you'd be the one to answer.

Yer i have one of the aluminium unibody macbooks with an internal battery.

But this machine is pretty much dedicated to gigging and is generally plugged in anyway.

So if using it like that aint a problem I can live with it.

Cheers mate :)
