yizzle
i am also reserved about upgrading. i put in for the offer $15 cause its valid till feb 2013 or something. but since most my computer woes are mainly gone. i think i will sit back and see what ppl say about 8. yizzle
im not gettin anything done.also, cant you just use your old comp for now till it gets sorted?
Mitch
don't upgrade until at least service pack 1 for win8 comes out. This is a fairly major change, bringing a whole new interface into the system, even microsoft are admitting it isn't completely ready. It is simply being launched so they can get in for the christmas sales. Win7 is the most solid Windows OS out right now.
yizzle
when they say its not really ready.8 seems to be really focused around apps & cloud storage crap. if thats what they mean by "not really ready"..shouldnt effect what kind of problems bonz is having? Mitch
'not really ready' as in there is still a shitload of bugs that cause the computer to crash.think reliving the vista era but worse

GREMM1S
For laptops and desktops it's probably going to be better to stay on 7 anyway.

Bonz
na i still havent gone for it yet dood.im slightly afraid of branching over...im just trying a few things before i make the plunge..i heard there may be a fix for my asus.check the last post by Dj Kadhttp://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... 508&page=
Mitch
quite likely a BIOS update will fix it. go directly to the ASUS website, get your exact model and download the bios update from there though.make sure you do it right coz if you do it wrong (e.g. battery goes flat and no charger plugged in mid way through) you can fuck the motherboardif yu follow all the asus instructions you will be fine
