MelodyIlliterate Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 he looks fuckedso peaceful playing with his needle... legend Quote
russell Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Not quite the same but another example of making a loop by unconventional methods. Quote
yizzle Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 impressed by boith vids would not even attempt. (needle costing a pretty $$ reasons) Quote
russell Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I'd def try Kink's method. The other one not so much. Not so good for the needles like you say ysm. Quote
overit Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 ^ yes man, I used to use stickers to create loops. Obv kills needles, but needles are to djs what guitar strings are to axemen = disposable parts of the tools.Obv means you'll never be able to play the bit of vinyl under the sticker again - even if you remove sticker and clean it you will have a very worn bit of vinyl (where the loop was) then huge jump in volume where it plays the bit that used to be under the sticker.Obv sounds great and results in excellent analog sounding loops which maintain tempo even though the individual hits on the sample are not quantized = 100% original and creative sound. But boy is it a pain in the arse getting that sticker in just the right place!Old Skool Quote
