id3 to filename?

I've got hold of a place where I can go and practice on 2000's for $10 an hour, so I'm preparing some usb's.

(also trying some dennons while im there)

Im wondering if there's a program that renames files based on id3 tags so i can have the key put in front of the file name.

Should display kinda like this:

2a - Don't look back - Tommie sunshine

You either need to run them through mik again.

Or why don't you just use rekordbox and get the key to display on the screen from the id3 tag?

After playing with this for ages man, its easier to just search through the key fields.

The negative of changing file names is you need to reload them into itunes/rekordbox again because they have changed

Yeah but it doesn't effect the functionality of a piece of equipment.

This just seems like a lot of hassle when he's only having a play around with them.

I could see the point in all of this if it was for everyday use.

It's also because im thinking of getting lloydc's gear.

Funny thing is I get double the features and everything, and it won't cost me any extra if I sell my 800's setup.

Seems as if sol wants to emulate the features of rekordbox with every piece of incompatible dj gear he can find.

It's mainly so I can use it on everthing I put my hands on though.

At home id use em with serato in hybrid mode

My 900s run hid mode for serato man, just seems like youre doing things the hard way.

as i said in earlier post run them through MIK again, all you need to do is just change the setting to write to the start of the filename instead of in the key section

What mitch said its in the settings you can make mik rename the file, can also change the id3 tag settings to put the key on fromt of title or artist
