Friday 21st September Boss Bass brings you infectious Drum n Bass via a Virus Recordings takeover - with special guests Optiv from the UK, and BTK from Brazil, backed up by the heavy hitting Boss Bass crew you know and love – Pop the Hatch, Autoclaws, Hydraulix, Bruxism & more

Over the last year the duo known as Optiv & BTK have dominated the drum & bass scene with an unrelenting output of high quality, strictly-for-the-dance-floor releases - their deep, funk-fuelled, future-tech sound in demand with dj sets worldwide. Now they’re headed to Chinese Laundry, with the express intention of smashing up the dance floor and bringing the full on party vibes that their tunes are recognised for”.

Both producers have had a long history in the scene, and between them have released on an impressive list of revered labels like Renegade Hardware Subtitles Music, Virus, and many more before linking up.

Optiv & BTK joined forces in their new home town of Bern in Switzerland after meeting up at various Drum & Bass events in the area. Once inside the studio, the collaborative vibe and rapid results made it clear that this would union would be a game changer and with tracks like Backlash and Kingpin on Virus Recordings, having immediate impact they continued to collaborate

Unsurprisingly, demand for their product skyrocketed to the extent that labels quickly came back looking for more than just a little taste, leading to their debut album just on Virus entitled 'Dirty Tricks'.

We want to bring back our roots in bass - funk-filled, dirty music and breaks that talk to you on a primal level.
