Ashok
Had a quick listen to it, quite liked the track selection. Could you post up a playlist by any chance (particularly the last track - loved that beat). Only question, and pardon me - I'm just trying to learn more about the thought processes behind mixing, was whether you considered reducing the high hats after the main beat kicked at the start (0.27)? It felt like too much energy for a starting track. I was thinking a more bass heavy, trancey beat would get people into the groove for the mix and then progressively increase the energy levels. yizzle
glad you liked the track selection bro. thanks for lending an ear. i would have to be honest and say i really enjoy getting into my mixes fast, heavy & glitchy/disjointed.the way i like to construct mixes as of now is - fast no bullshit start- middle is more constructed with smoother bass/flow- i always like to end with what i call the 'downer' stuff. slower, more dreamy relaxed stuff.the last track is: Seven Days (Original Mix) - Klopfgeister & Kopelbut i dont want to give em all away hey haha. yizzle
just listened to this again fpr shits & giggles. when i get traktor running again in a day or so i want to get a new mix up.if there is any constructive criticism on what to improve on i would love to hear it.from what i heard tonight.the bass between all the songs just comes across too weak or way to heavy. but yeah, throw up some thoughts aye?
