odysseyhouse
hey guys.Ideally i want my DJM 800 mixer. but its just out of my price range at the moment and i feel that i'm being held back with what i've got.At the moment i have a Numark DXM 06 and a Spare Numark M4 mixer.I have a set of CDJ1000 Mk3's and want something more suited.Im thinking with the very minimum funds (budget of about $3-400) i have and these 2 mixers to sell that the best i could afford is a DJM 600.any other opinions? GREMM1S
The 600s are by all means a solid mixer ,but they will all be fairly old and thrashed, you might be able to push a second hand 700 down to a close price.
odysseyhouse
Thanks GREMM1S.I was watching a guy at a house party over the weekend with the DJM 400 and thought that it would be significantly better than my DXM06 so i think in the meantime before i get some serious skill and money the 700 sounds like a good idea
lloydc
save and get a dnx1600.IMO - better than the djm800 (on par with the 850)

GREMM1S
My suggestion try different brands like denon before you buy one, if you havnt used them to make sure you like it.
odysseyhouse
oh yeah its a handful.I had a behringer DXM750 which i stupidly sold with some cdj400s as a pack but still found that confusing with effects and what not. watched this kid on the djm 400 and seemed easy to learn on, i know djm 600,700 and 800 and the denon are more pro but im willing to learn.ok well looks like its bite the bullet and save for a little while longer
mattus123
what sort of things are you after? 4 channles? effects?might be worth going down to your local store with your budget in mind, and trying various things. Also in cases like this it is often worth while to wait around save up a bit more money and look around on gumtree/ebay/other sites to try find a good 2nd hand mixer.
