GREMM1S
You can focus the long noses better, but you cant hide them like the short, what are you mainly going to do with them?
AlexJ
my brother uses them for theatre. and i may use them on my lighting truss as wash lights. say in terms of wash lights as the example

AlexJ
nah mate like a 4 hour drive.so if i was to take them from him and set them up my lights bar you reckon they'd be just as good (not too focused) for djing
Lurk6r
Wait, led par or regular par? If regular then you need gels to color them, and a chaser to turn them on and off with the music
AlexJ
led par..is in the title haha
GREMM1S
Just means a narrower area it covers but led pars are sick anyway dude, angle some down, some up etc would still look good
Lurk6r
led par..is in the title hahaA bit of topic, but have you considered getting flat pack led wash lights?
AlexJ
like what?
SourceRaver
The larger ones are probably a Par 64 and the smaller one a Par 38 (numbers refer to the diameter). In conventional par cans the larger the number the larger the lamp that can be used. With LEDs its a different ball game and you'll need to look at the specs to work out which one is brighter. Otherwise found this on the Tube...I suspect that the long nose ones have a tighter wash area and are better for lighting a specific area as opposed to a general wash effect.
