mattus123
hey dudesvery simple question here, can i plug the DJM850 into a laptop and use it and my 1000s as a controller? allowing me to mix without having to use CDs?the paragraph from http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/newsroom/n ... index.html makes me think i can'Connection to PCs or laptops requires just one USB cable, so DJs can start mixing their stored music immediately. And software devotees can make the most of scratch control thanks to the mixer's compatibility with the timecode feature on Digital Vinyl Systems, such as Traktor.'just thought i better double check
legunner
1000s don't have midi I'm pretty sure. You'd have to use a time code setup.
Mitch
You can use timecode with the djm 850 without needing an audio 8/10, correct. The soundcard is built into the djm.You will need to buy traktor. What you need to do is outlined here - http://pioneer.jp/support/connect/dj-e/ ... djm-850-s/In summary of above link:All you need to buy is this version of traktor ($119 US) - http://www.native-instruments.com/#/pro ... ?page=2068And this is the pdf on how it all connects / configures - http://pioneer.jp/support/connect/pdf/d ... .01.16.pdfThere is diagrams in that PDF on how it all connects
SourceRaver
Research HID mode for the 850. It will allow you to use it as a control surface for Traktor or VDJ. Unfortunately 1000s don't have the same feature.
GREMM1S
as others have mentioned its only the soundcard that the 850 has, will still need timecode or the new players with usb.
