street
My HD is almost full and I know there is a lots of un-needed stuff on there, so I was just wondering the best ways to free up disk space.so far I've deleted duplicate files, deleted some applications I dont use, defraged it, but are there any other methods? Smokey Joe
There is still more to do to clear your Mac's disk space. You can find out those large files on your Mac and delete them if you don't need them. Simply Launch Finder. Locate the search field and choose This Mac. Then make the File Size to "is greater than ##MB". Those Large files will show up then, and you get to decide whether to keep them. If you are familiar with Terminal, you can also do the cleaning with it. Just type in these command: sudo rm -rf /private/var/log/* rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/* sudo rm -rf Voices/* https://www.imymac.com/mac-cleaner/how-to-free-up-space-on-mac.html
