I wanted to get 900s or 2000's for rekordbox and to control trakor... this tickets both boxes I think.

i've been trying to do more research on this thing, but not too much luck because there is bugger all information out there.

I'm trying to establish if you can see wav forms on your phone/tablet while their playing (essentially a DVS)

you're not seeing the big picture... fuck the wifi... but if you play in clubs, you've got all your music sorted in rekordbox and you can play with it on this unit.

It's a good sorta toy/halfway device still looks nothing compared to cdjs or even the higher end controllers.

I don't understand why it looks 'halfway' for a club dj who uses 2000s in the club why wouldnt something like this be good?

because it has curves doesn't make it a toy...

it has pretty much all the options of a the cdj's with the exception of:

a) hot cues (apparently available in a firmware update)

slip mode

c) the screens suck

you're also forgetting that higher end controllers also require a laptop.

I havnt still sussed it out fully but it seems like too much of a hybrid that it starts skimping out on areas.

Rekordbox is barely a dvs system, more a glorified playlist.

The little screens on the device look pretty horrible to be honest.

Question does it merely sync the music from rekordbox or can you use it like pro link and use your laptop whilst playing to search etc?

Yes i do dislike majority of digital devices as frankly their quality is generally crap compared to decks, i could never go back after switching to cdjs, yes i have owned three controllers im not a biased know-nothing.

I will reserve full judgement untill i actually play on one, any idea of pricing to determine if it will be entry level or what.

@ small screen comment, You browse for tracks using your phone/tablet. An iPad screen is definitely big enough to browse on.

This device isn't for me personally, but there is a market for it

Still believe local storage will be the best for djing for a while still.

rekord box isn't a DVS

the screens are shit house

watch the video, they use prolink with it via wifi (I hope to fuck it works with USB as well)

most decks are digital devices now, but I understand what you mean.

not just now, all cd players are digital devices.

you dont actually manipulate the cd with a cdj platter. cd's are nothing more than a medium carrying digital data, then the cdj controls it.

but yes i know what gremm meant. i.e. anything that isnt a cdj or turntable
