Pending Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 This just started the other day but when I'm attempting to be the sickest DJ going the decks stop working. The decks still light up like everything is fine but won't do anything in VIrtual DJ. I thought it might have been the cable but I brought a new cable but that didn't help. Need some serious help. SourceRaver Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Did the controller work at all, or did it just stop working after a while? Quote
Pending Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 They worked and now when I plug it in sometimes it's not recognized or it is recognized and just work for a random amount of time Quote
SourceRaver Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Sounds like something is happening in the background. Make sure your computer is trying to do something else like looking for a wirleless network etcDoes it happen when you try and load the same music file?Does it happen when you turn something on and off in the room (ie power issue).Keep experimenting and see if you can identify what it it may be that causes it to crash. The other option is to take the controller to the seller back and swap it for another. Pending Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 No warranty and it's worked fine for a month and has not just decided to stop Quote
SourceRaver Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Try connecting it too another PC with VDJ installed. If it still doesn't work then it's probably the controller itself. Might be something like a dry solder joint. I've heard about folks opening up their devices and heating the circuit boards with a hair dryer to fix this problem. Quote
Mitch Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 I'd say it's more your computer setup than the controller tbh Quote
Pending Posted July 29, 2012 Author Posted July 29, 2012 But I don't understand it's worked fine for a month Quote
GREMM1S Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Have you reinstalled vdj/the drivers?Double check your settings in vdj, could highly likely be a sound selection issue, does it have inbuilt or use the pc's soundcard.Make sure you plug the device in before you start virtual dj or it wont work. yizzle Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 yeah you did. but just in case the problem happens again.the above questions are things you may want to ask yourself aye Quote
