i think the easiest way would be to just map the mixer to Traktor?

i just want the mixer to control traktor, and instead of playing tunes off the decks with traktor, it's just running from the play button

yeah for sure you can do this.

But you wont control the faders in traktor (unless you have a midi capable mixer)

I assume you mean still external mixing but only using the internal decks.

Then its the exact same setup with even less csbles needed.i.e you can get away w just rca and not need multicore

Basically route the outputs from the audio 8 to the mixer line inputs. Set mixer to line.

The speakers will still need to come out of the mixer not the lappy.

Audio setup

In Audio device = Audio 8 DJ

In output routing:

Mixing mode = external

output ch A:

L: out 1 (audio 8 DJ)

R: out 2 (audio 8 DJ)

output ch B:

L: out 3

R: out 4

I now have everything setup, but on the mixer gain and through the speakers, only the left side is playing any audio

Anyone know why?
