AlexJ Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Will be attending my first bdo ever, boiler room here i come.haha bro, you should enjoy it.Have to admit will be cool to see RHCP although place will be packed becoz of it but (guess that is the point)also keen for nicky romero, bloody beetroots and grinspoon. Have to admit, there must be something nice hidden in the second release because while the lineup is ok, doesnt blow my mind or anything. Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Yeah my mates were saying they leak more artists usually, will hope for a bit more because i dont listen to rock so the boiler will have to be solid to justify a ticket, but meh as the title says will just be a big day out on the googs haha. Quote
yizzle Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 stopped going to BDO's about 5 years ago. considering this one for RHCP, b.o.b & everytime i die Quote
Mitch Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 The Bloody beetroots and sampology both put on dope live sets Quote
OxyKon Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Chili peppers are the only thing worth seeing on that line up, still not worth $165 though, BDO had gone down hill for a long time mow Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Honestly think they will be the next festival to die, they lack direction these days. They need to figure out and focus on what is the better type of music to have because so many people just see it as meh these days. Quote
OxyKon Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 That's because sound wave became too big and stole all the good acts Quote
LabRat Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Niky Romero will be alright. Never really got into the bloody beetroots Quote
Kodiak Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 BDO used to be great because it has a bit of everything. I would probably never have discovered acts like the resin dogs or pnau without stumbling across them at bdo. But it is certainly a shadow of its former self, mostly due to the fact there are other festivals meow. Quote
styga Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 there was a whole heap of acts that were leaked just yesterday before the official line up was released, and im thinking that some of the leaked line up will be apart of the 2nd announcement Quote
AlexJ Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Birds of Tokyo and Parachute youth. Would be keen Quote

crundyy Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 the only reason im going to this is because im going with a bunch of chicks, havnt even looked at the lineup, know red hot chilli peppers is there so when theyre on ill be as far away as humanly possible. Quote
Jaz Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 how is this festival still alive? always the shittest line up out of them all, hasnt been good since 06, and its onlt 15+ so there are children and peddo bears everywhere Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 They are doing the right thing by upping their edm side of things but honestly can see this festival dying in less than 5 years. My god i would die to see knife party can't remember their set from future lol. Also trying not to hate but beetroots were atrocious at stereo last year, really gone off now it seems. People were getting knocked out and shit. Full Hectic Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Not weird at all they used to be sick, they destroyed metro and creamfields which i think were both live shows, but yeah absolutely terrible at stereo poor mixing, boring tracklist. Didnt hear a good word about their stereo effort. Is the bdo live or dj? Quote
Mitch Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Ahhhhk see i saw them do a live set. Whole different ball game. They are doing a live set @ bdO '13 too Quote
GREMM1S Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 Ah wouldnt mind that then, they really need to start producing some fresh stuff again. Didn't think much of their latest have you herd it man? Quote
