Hey guys,

Word of mouth has slowly gotten around at work and I have been asked to play at a 40th in September.

The venue is a quaint bar in Balmain, the only gear I will be supplying is the decks and maybe the speakers.

I don’t own any sound or lighting so if I require extra it will be at the persons expense. I will have me and a mate there for 5+ hours, and just wanted to gauge off you guys what you think is fair to me and the industry considering I won’t be supplying any lighting/sounds only the decks and music.

As it’s a colleague from work I had $60 an hour in mind, providing we can utilise the speakers at the venue. Is that a fair price?

It will be one of our first paid birthday gigs, as we have mostly played for mates as their bday present.

So yeh let me know what your thoughts are.

Bit off topic, but do you have a demotape/soundcloud/video of gig. Might make it easier for people to justify the cost in their heads

Hmmm good question, and a no to all of them....

Will try and get all of the above online so people can refere to something, cheer bro!
