  1. No its not a free upgrade, you do have to pay for the upgrade to Pro version.
  2. Awesome - LE is the light edition or limited edition of the software. Bascially you don't have full functionality with the controller. In the box is an upgrade card from LE to Pro. Enjoy the unit!
  3. Torq 2.0 will work with Denon hardware such as DNS1200, DNS3700 and DNMC6000.
  4. Stock just arrive and will be dipatched out to stores today. Check in with your local DJ store next week for play! Have a great weekend everyone!
  5. Yeah Ben is the Store Manager (the younger one) and is the traktor guru
  6. Just making sure you get the correct information
  7. Personally, I prefer the DNX1700 over the DNX1600 now that the firmware has being upgraded as it has a bigger and better screen, each pot is illuminated (fantastic when switching between Midi mode and normal mode if you change your settings), the dual effects mean more creativity when mixing etc. Store DJ in Sydney has both mixers, go in and chat to Ben and have a play on them and see which one is going to: a) suit your DJ requirments fit your budget Always try before you buy and alwasy buy (anything) that fits your requirements (not anybody else's) and you budget.
  8. should be the same.... this means i'm going to need another midi controller isn't it Sad lloydc, You can run both abelton and traktor together through the DNX1600.
  9. Teh DNX1700 is the same as the DNX1600 but has dual effects banks, plus the each pot has a ring that lights up when switching between Midi mode and normal audio and will flash if you have changed your settings until you put them back to what they were previously.
  10. If your running Traktor then the DNX1600. Not being biased but this machine is the dog bollix when it comes to Traktor - i did training on this machine around Australia with our dealers and this unit is by far superior in terms of functionality, sound quality and feature base! Plus the unit is cheaper than Pioneer and comes with a 2 year warranty! Go into Store DJ and chat to the guys as they have it set up in store running with Traktor.
  11. Check out the comparison chart and you will see the Denon has more features over the S4 - 3 key ones are: Steel body, not plastic Separate mixer section, so can be used without software 2 year warranty Also, NI don't make their own hardware, its from a third party, while Denon is one of the oldest (100th year anniversary this year) hardware manufacturers, so you know they are going to be building a solid piece of kit. Have a great weekend everyone!
  12. RRP will be $1199.00. We will making a video on this model and the DNSC2000 later this month once the DNMC6000 is in, showcasing its capabilities.
  13. [ here's a pic of the DNMC6000. Stock due into Australia January 20th!
  14. Here's a comparison chart on the DNMC6000 (due to arrive in Australia in January) and the NI S4. Have a very Merry Christmas and a safe New year and festive season!
  15. Hey DJ's, Just arrived into the country are the new DNSC2000 Traktor software contrrollers! http://www.denondj.com.au/Images/DN-SC2 ... top_00.jpg In all good DJ stores around the country now.
  16. The new Hybrid firmware (version #2) update will be released next week. This means that the timecode is generated in the DNS3700s DSP so no need for timecode CDs / USB. It will generate for SSL (default), Traktor (but no spinning platter support), RPM, Virtual DJ, PCDJ etc. Therefore it will be THE most versatile CD / Media / MIDI player on the market.
  17. The mic input switches to be a third channel (aux input) if required.
  18. Mixer due into the country next week (Monday) so should be hitting the stores mid to late next week. Check it out
  19. D-Link = sharing keyboard, memo points and relay play between two decks. D-Sync = sharing of 1 USB device between two decks. Only the DNHS5500 has D-Sync feature.
  20. I've had the pleasure to play with DNX600 and is a rock solid mixer! It uses the Alps cross faders - super smooth for those that are into scratching; great effects and the Mic input can be used as a 3rd channel for previewing. haven't used it in MIDI mode unfortunately, but audio quality is the same as the DNX1600. The only other mixer (in my opinion) that has similar audio quality is Allen & Heath mixers. RRP $1,199.00 Due in November.
  21. Bouncing into the "Red zone" is OK. If you want to be louder, then once you have your mixer set up so that the signal isn't being distorted (ie full red bars) then adjust your amplifiers for a louder sound. All your doing when running your mixer in the red is distorting the signal, which is then amplified through your speakers which: a) sounds terrible causes hearing problems c) can damaged your speakers
  22. Hi People, Well its finally available! The new hybrid mode firmware is now officially available. If you are a member of www.denondjforums.com you can download from their site. However if your not or your having difficulties PM me and I will email you the zip file. Cheers
  23. some more testing required However, having only tested the mixer with TT's and vinyl the cross fader is tight (Alps fader) and great if your into scratching! Channel faders are more for the club DJ than the scratch DJ and aren't as responsive as I prefer. The effects unit is much better than that of the DNX1500 (if you've played with DNX1700 - same effects units!) Denon have certinaly improved the effects available which give you more options than the standard found in some mixers on the market. Very clean sound (even when using vinly) but will be doing more with DNS3700s and traktor for those of you using DVS systems and how the DNX1600 operates / integrates. Cheers
  24. The DNX1600 will retail for $1999.00. Dimensions are: 320(W) x 357(D) x 91(H) Wazza, I believe you can run them a tthe same time. I will confirm this once I've had an extensive play with the machine. Cheers
