Hey Boys and Girls im getting quite fond of djing with serato. what are my chances of being able to dj with turntables and serato at gigs? Do i just rock up with my extension cords, laptop and serato box? whats the usual deal with setting up your set? are you expected to just use a mixer and decks or is serato bring along cool? thanks team x

whats the take on these new puppies? they retail for around AUS$200+ depending on what ones you choose. just interested to hear if anyone owns these and their quailty?? cheers

hahah yeah i cop that alot. damn they stole me name! from.. sydney set up atm is.. 2 x technics 1200s, ancient vestax mixer, serato SL3 + Macbook and some fat speakers. i play.. house, progressive house, a touch of rnb shit you want to dance to! i want.. to get some work (like everyone else!)

Rock up one day and ask if they have anything available? email them? go during the day as they are opening? Tips are welcome!

beatport services me quite well. but theres the odd crazy mix or cover that you cant find only illegally. im all for paying for tracks. after all we bang for the artist right? can anyone recommend other sites besides beatport traxsource and juno?? that are LEGAL
