@ eggssell - yeh thats what ive been doing i'v found it gets a bit crowded so to speak when u play a few tracks with lyrics in a row. Edit: I'm considering somehow tagging the songs with lyrics. Can u do this in Traktor?? Or would i have to edit the song title??

Just wondering, what does everyone recomend. Do u play many songs with "Lyrics" in them?? Do u perposely split them up ie. not play them one after the other??? Do u only play one every so often??

U know u can DJ properly using Software. I run Traktor Pro on my Hercules n am goin fine without "cheating". Theres nothing that says just cause u run from a computer u have to press "sync" or look at the bpm etc. U can easily do it just like on a cdj. although i do agree with you man an i used to say the same thing, it all came down to (for me) that no club is going to let you Play with a laptop and midi....sorry but someone broke it to me that blunt, and i thank them thats why i switched to CDJ's, because im working towards hopefully getting a club gig, but weather you are or not i dont know, still love my hercules as well Yeh man...Well my aim is to eventually get some CDJ's. Just didnt want to fork huge amounts of $ untill i knew i was fully into it/had some skill. Just wanted to put to rest the common belife that just cause u run from a laptop u can't DJ. (I'm not saying there arn't people that do "cheat", just not everyone does) EDIT: Thats people that use a controller. If ur only using ur laptop then well then theres no way to do it other than "cheat".

The ironic thing is that these "Turntable DJs" that use there DVS to compete. Will be competing to win a DVS setup. I suppose u could always use spares

@ LiGhTeNPrOJeCt Have a good read of how to's on midi mapping for traktor...It took me a while but I sussed it all out for mapping my RMX. If u have to do exactly what they tell u to do. (this helped me get my head around what was happening) @ AZ Ur running a RMX aren't u dude???

Hey Just bit off topic but simmilar. But if u download a song off say Dance Music Hub or Beatport and its a song from a compilation say for instance MOS. Would I have the same prob, ie. intro n outro mixed?? or do the get the proper songs???

Good Read. I so called this a while ago...not the whole dance scene being obliterated in an explosion..lol. But the somewhat sudden progression dance music has made into the worlds pop culture. This then, as it does with anything result in producers trying harder and harder to make songs that "everyone" will like. This kinda connects with a thread i put up recently about wanting to find some new clubs in brissy. Cause the "popular" clubs have all gotten into the habit of playing the same songs and giving the same feel day in n day out (well i guess night in n night out ). Hopefully the scene can stay afloat and survive.

Hey all. Just had a thought today. Has anyone trided using Traktor or any other computer based DJ software on a touch screen??? Computer or otherwise??? I did see the vid of the guy with that surface thingo, but obviously thats not very practical. Anyway just a thought to ponder. Would be awsome if it worked without having to crew around with programing etc.
