  1. I have seen many a you tube vid of the so called super dj or whatever eg tiesto, loco dice, sven vath kooking it that hard that it makes you wonder who is tripping more the star or the gurners in the crowd loving the trainwreck over and over again. Has anyone else noticed how all of a sudden every club dj in sydney, goldy ,brisbane is releasing music on big labels and they cant even mix properly. they have buddies high up who seem to make the music for them. they sit in a studio for a few hours give some ideas and presto 2 weeks later old mate has their track done.Instant credability in the scene no one can doubt them. How the fuck.... production is so hard it takes years just to make basic stuff that sound ok. that or you have spare thousands and spare time to do a sae course even then you would need more or you are a genius. One more problem if your not cool enough no label will ever pick you up no matter how good your music is. fuck the club scene in australia it deserves to die a slow death with all these new laws because the people at the top are talenless ego driven cats. why should they make so much money when I have to do my shitty job I can mix better than any of them and there are many others. seems that seamless mixing aint important anymore
  2. you could run it on xp with 512 mb ram. the program not that complex. it wont drain your cpu like a native instruments plug in
  3. space djs 4 dex n fx, 2 each. had it that wired that there was always 2 tracks going at once and they wouldnt even look at each other. this was with vinyl and turntables too analogue mixer no bpm counters. mind blowing hard tribal techno swarm style....
  4. bang gang are famous because of a fashion label. get famous then become a dj so then you have a following. become friends with people like daft punk and other musicians so they can help you make the music you need to release in order to get the gig. yes nearly impossible unless you make bangin tunes that get played by the big names.... keep dreaming
  5. ww.djblaze.fw.hu any electro remix you could ever want and thats what the crowd wants too....
  6. YOU TUBE, YOU TUBE. I have learnt so much from there. either that or get 2 basic lessons from machine muzik in darlinghurst if your in sydney. got me going..
  7. numark have too many gimmicky features on their turntables and just look so ugly they would be last on my list for dance music style mixing. Numark is more hip hop style in mind. thats just my opinion . still there is a reason why technics have been industry standard in dance music for like EVER...
  8. Cant go past Technics but if you like heaps of torque Stanton are good. American audio actually have a great turntable thats cheap and is the same as the Stanton st 150 but with a better finish.and only like $450, read the reviews on the net. rock solid, the high torque does take some getting used to though thats why i prefer Technics. American Audio is such a gay name but the turntable is actually really good especially for the price.....
  9. Hire a generator. done it a few times works a charm cost you somewhere around 100 a night. if its 30m away in the bush you wont hear anything. battery speakers are not gonna work for what you want. ask for an extension lead when hiring probably give you one anyway. try kenards or something easy
  10. Hi all, Check out GUMTREE SYDnEY. 2 pioneer dvj 1000 s djm 800, some other expensive tech thing and headphones all for $3000. that is one bargain, but who has a lazy 3k lying around but that is how much one dvj costs and you get 2 and the best mixer going
  11. Hi all at ADJF having fun reading the blogs you guys seem more fun and less dick head factor than Undiscovered. A difference of opinion should be encouraged even if you dont agree. Denis is good value he makes me laugh keep it up> Been mixing for over 10 years and now i am in my bloody mid 30s but love it too much to ever stop. Anyway if you have time try this______ -Most house music is 128 BPM _ track 1 plays at 0 percent = 128 BPM - Track 2 is 125 BPM TO FIND WHAT PERCENT PITCH IS REQUIRED MATHS--------- 100 Divided by 128 = 0.78 ROUND IT OFF TO 0.8.----- 0.8 x 3 = 2.4 128-125=3 ... 3x0.8= 2.4 Works 9 times out of 10 guaranteed. Makes mixing on cdjs sooo easy I feel like im cheating and it works with all bpms . 135 bpm 0.75---- 145bpm 0.7 176bpm 0.55. just remember whatever the bpm divide by 100 and you have it. Good luck and try it
