    Hello there

So many condoms haha. I'm living in Sydney at the moment, just finishing with school at what not. Thanks for the warm welcomes all
  4. I've come across a little 'debate' (if u will) about the Pioneer 350 series. I am pretty keen now to go with CDJ, and the 350 seemed like a good option for my price range and skill level. But i have been reading reviews on the internet about it all, and it seems that people are saying that it is no fun and is just easy because of the BPM lock. I was just wondering what you guys opinions are on that, coz right now i'm looking at the CDJ and DJM 400s or 350s. Cheers.
  5. Yeah a mac book pro isn't in the budget, pretty much i'm just working my mates dad's construction site at the moment to get money for the Macbook pro (i felt i needed an upgrade to run Serato as my mates PC always shuts down when he closes the program haha), but yeah the 2.5k is the budget for the gear. Are headphone's like a massive issue if i'm just starting out? because i was thinking of just getting some skullcandy one's from Dicksmith or something (i honestly have no idea with the headphones so if i'm wrong feel free to tell me haha).
  6. Ah right, sorry didn't realize there was an intro section Yeah i'm more into house music, so you think CDJ would be the way to go? I did have a look at the Pioneer CDJ 350 and DJM 350 and the package was about 2500. Would that be a good starting off point? Cheers

    Hello there

Hey all. I'm Jarred, been into all types of music for a long time now, played guitar for 4 odd years and what not, and now i'm keen to get into DJing as i am a big fan of techno/house music and i just want to jam out at some parties and just have fun mixing some cool songs together I still don't have any decks or equipment as i am still in school and i don't have a job (makes saving money a tough job) however some equipment should be coming my way in a little while . Just thought i'd introduce myself and that i'm keen to get into the DJ scene Cheers.
  8. Hey all. I'm just starting out and i really have no idea what type of gear i should get. I am thinking of going Vinyl (because my mates who DJ tell me it is way more fun), but i'm not sure if Vinyl is better than CDJ. Also, i am willing to spend around 2.4 grand to get a set up, as this is something i want to continue with for years to come. If anyone could give me some advice on the best set up i could get for that price, that would be great. Also, is it worth buying a program like Serato for the laptop, as i am most likely going to be using a laptop whilst DJing. Cheers.
