Yeah they may be overkill but they'd make good backup gear incase the DVS or laptop crashes. You'd still have looping, hot cues and a decent sized platter. That's not to say CDJ200 or 400's wouldn't do the job.

I've read quite a few reviews on powered speakers for mobile use. I've read that quite a few unlucky SRM450V2 owners have had some problems, having to take them back for repairs several times. You might want to check up on this. If you're restricted financially, either hire your speakers when you do parties or buy some Behringers such as what DJaz suggested. If your budget permits, have a look at QSC K and KW series tops, or JBL's PRX600 series. I do recommend that you read lots of reviews and familiarise yourself with the specifications.

There's a similar "Traktor 50% off" thread on inthemix forums and those guys are also waiting on theirs. http://www.inthemix.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=282480&page=3 Gotta love the friendly attitude on ITM

It makes me sad when I see Technics 1200's being used as cd wallet holders. On the plus side, you can refurbish beat up Techs pretty good. source: http://www.djforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=256400&highlight=technics+1200

That's a steal! Hope the transaction goes smoothly.

perhaps the weight of the package doesn't match the declared weight.

Not yet.....and its been almost one month since ordering For those who ordered their S4's, Store DJ have announced the following: "SHIPPING UPDATE, 25/11/10: OUR FIRST DELIVERY OF KONTROL S4's IS SHIPPING AND ARE ON THEIR WAY TO STORE DJ NOW!!!" Hopefully this also means the TSP's are on their way to those who ordered from the NI online store.

15" I think it went cheap because the seller didn't have much rep. But paypal has buyer protection so I wasn't worried.

Sweet sexy second hand (eBay) Macbook Pro dedicated for TSP 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB RAM 160 GB 7200rpm HDD $700 shipped. Arrived yesterday and it runs awesomely Now I just have wait for Australian customs to pull their arse into gear and release all the TSP imports.

Welcome mate. When one door closes another one opens.

Why not see if you can swap your DJM-800 for a Xone-92 and get an EFX-1000. You get the best of both worlds!
-
they think they can get away with it? haha. paypal are gonna be chasing my money back but yeah Aus customs are being annoying. delaying my new toy because they're too busy searching through every international import for schoolies drugs.

Will be sure to tune in this afternoon.

I don't much like his stuff these days, but one of my favourite sets was his at Energy 2000.

1. Start by checking your levels on the mixer. Make sure the signal averages +0 dB and peaks at no more than +5 dB. 2. Check your RCA cables. Swap them with spares to see if it makes a difference. 3. Definitely use an external USB sound card. At the very least you should get a cheap one like this http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/UCA202.aspx . You can buy one here http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Behringer-UCA202-Audio-Interface-Cran-Music-/270652767792?pt=AU_Pro_Audio&hash=item3f04297e30#ht_601wt_905 for $60 posted. 4. Check Audacity recording preferences. The sample rate should be good at 44100 Hz and the sample format at 16-bit. Select the USB soundcard as the recording device and make sure it's recording in stereo.

My new business = low prices for aus dj's!!!
chrismak replied to Pianoman's topic in Buy & Sell - Gear
Good luck mate. The prices for equipment here in Australia are a bit of a joke and we always seem to be behind with stocking up the latest gear. -
I'm with TPG and mine's also shit.

I bet this is why customs are overloaded. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/11/19/3071474.htm

Apparently StoreDJ are having trouble with Kontrol S4 shipping due to it being held up in customs. "SHIPPING UPDATE: OUR FIRST DELIVERY HAS UNFORTUNATELY BEEN HELD UP IN CUSTOMS AND IS NOW EXPECTED TO ARRIVE AROUND 24TH NOVEMBER." Maybe our TSP packages are being held for the same reason
-
Mine hasn't come either

The adidas versions look tacky imo. What does adidas have to do with DJ/Studio headphones anyway?

I doubt Australia post is to blame. My package was put on an international flight from Germany on the 8th Nov and it still hasn't even arrived in Australia (so I'm told). They've given me an Australian Post tracking number so I can track it in Australia, but so far Australia post haven't received it. Does anyone know how international packages are handled? Do they visit numerous airports and warehouses before finally reaching their destination? It doesn't make sense that it takes more than 10 days to fly a package from Germany to Australia in one simple trip.

i think we have a spammer. (edit) looks like cupe deleted it.

Given that Traktor Scratch Pro still hasn't arrived (from NI in Germany) and was put on a flight to Australia on the 8th November, I decided to email DHL to get the shipping status. Here is the response I received: thank you for your request. The parcel left Germany on 2010-11-08 going to Australia. General running time for your parcel is 11-12 business days excluding customs clearance. Your parcel will be delivered by Australia Post. In case your parcel does not arrive at the recipient until 2010-11-22 please contact the sender and request an investigation. Do you have any further questions? Please don't hesitate to contact your customer service representative using the phone number given below. In case you answer back via mail please refer to your first request. OHG Eiffestr. 78 20537 Hamburg Deutschland Telefon (0 180 5) 3 45 22 55* Kundenservice.de@dhl.com www.dhl.de Looks like it should finally arrive by Monday next week, but hopefully by Friday to give us the weekend to play around . I'm not impressed that NI blatantly lies about their shipping times but I guess all we can really do is be patient and wait.

just thought i should clarify......if this test fails it doesn't mean the turntable is dodgy. the (old) pitch fader might be on its way out and needs to be replaced with a new one.
