  1. I'm not in a hurry Andy. Here is a pic I already had on my phone sol. *xone92 not included. Will post close ups for both units when I get the chance.
  2. Hey Sol. I'm seriously considering selling mine. What's a reasonable price for a couple of MK2's guys?
  3. mitch is right. even though it sounds good, your loop will almost never be 100% accurate. shorter loops are even harder to keep beat matched because the inaccuracy is doubled with each iteration. assume you have a 128bpm track with the pitch set to 0, and you make a 4 beat loop. in this instance, a perfect 4 beat loop will need to go for 1.875 seconds. assume your loop sounds ok going for 1.86 seconds. that's 0.015 seconds difference and 99.2% accurate. the bpm of your track becomes 129. after 32x 4-beat loop iterations (about 1 minute) you are nearly half a second too quick.
  4. beat me to it hobberz
  5. Yeah I made a mixcloud account this morning just incase. I uploaded to soundcloud with 2 minutes of noise added to the beginning. Its not the most pleasent intro but the real mix beginning is marked with a comment I'm happy to submit the unaltered mix to mixcloud. I'm just not sure how well this forum can embed mixcloud though.
  6. use a program to put a different random bit of sound at the start that's happened to me when I opened a set with cinema, it's automatic i put cinema in the mix later down the line and no problems Cheers Cupe. Added 2 minutes of noise and it worked like a charm.
  7. No track info whatsoever. I've been reading up and apparently its common for the first track to get picked up. Did anyone else use What The F**k! as their first track? Might have to post up on mixcloud instead.
  8. Just uploaded my mix to soundcloud and received the following: Copyrighted work identified Our automatic content protection system has detected that your upload "2011-08-13_17h10m11.wav" may contain content that is owned or administered by Sony Music Canada (Sak Noel, Loca People (What The F**k!) (Explicit)). As a result, we have paused the upload of your audio for the time being. What The F**k! Anyone else had any issues with this track?
  9. I found that as well. Some fit together really nicely but a couple of them are difficult to fit with anything. Its all part of the challenge though.
  10. I've recorded a draft and am happy with the set structure. Just got to tighten up the beatmatching and eq'ing. I'll get the chance tonight to produce a quality recording without interruption.
  11. I think you're going to struggle to sell it for that price. 1. It was cheaper than your asking price when NI were having their sale before Traktor Pro 2 got released. 2. The Traktor Pro 2 product line was released, further decreasing the value of the product you're now attempting to sell. 3. You're selling second hand equipment.
  12. You sure? There's a "downloaded" list that lists every song you've downloaded. There is no way to re-download tracks from this list. There is a "re-download" list that contains only recently purchased tracks. Beatport gives you a day or two to re-download purchased tracks.
  13. I think you're getting ahead of yourself Sol. An FX unit is only going to distract you from learning how to match beats & phrases, and producing flowing mixes. They can be fun at first....yes, but they wont help you to become a better DJ at your level.
  14. I'm considering selling my CDJ1000 MK2's. Where are you located?
  15. This thread is sticky in the production area. Sample packs exist in amongst the list. http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4449 This thread can be found by using the search function. http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=183&highlight=samples If you are looking for samples from specific artists, download acapellas and cut what you want out of them. http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/ If all else fails...... http://www.google.com
  16. Are you doing an IT degree or are these electives? If you're doing a full IT degree then I strongly suggest that you don't copy code. If you don't learn the basics properly then you're going to find it very difficult in future courses. Second and third year courses build on what you learn in first year, and it is assumed that you still remember what you supposedly learned.
  17. how much are the cdj900's going for?
  18. What makes Serato better for turntables?
  19. do you live in the outback?
  20. Is the CDJ2000 really the industry standard though? I know that's what Pioneer's marketing wants us to think. But is there any other determining factor?
  21. one can only lurk on here for so long. welcome mate
