yea i definetly see what your saying but i think the person who would best answer a question like that would be someone who knows the products, regardless of their profession like my mate (he's a drummer) could answer that particular question, even though u knows nothing bout audio engineering ...im jsut tryin to be optimistic for the people applying for the jobs here so in conclusion.. aslong as you know the products well and your friendly, u'll be all sweet

i dont think not being an audio engineer would effect your chances cause at the end of the day storeDJ is a retail store aslong as your good with communication and know the product you'll be sweet audio engineering really doesnt have much to do with products i recon a DJ would have a better chance than an audio engineer =D

Hey guys im gonna go buy some SD cards for my CDJs and im jsut wondering roughly how many cues could i save on a 1gb SD card? i dnt need exact figures, just a rough ball park thanks guys

i just called up Djwarehouse (where i bought it from) and they said that it wasnt under warranty, so im gonna have to go take it get fixed when i called them up they didnt sound too surprised, so im thinking this isnt an extremely rare problem i thought it mighta been the same thing, but when i change between the high/low frequencies there is no sound, which rules out the filter being jammed open. cause if the filter was jammed open, it would work on either the high or low filter. i think thats right isnt it? on the plus side..i can still mix (i just cant use the filters)

hey guys im using a xone:22 and wen i press the button to turn on the filter, it just cuts out the sound, when i turn the filter knob to try adn filter teh song in nothing happens it just stays quiet i dunno if i am explaining this properly but does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Yea u can change the settings in itunes so that it rips CDs at 320kbps i just use itunes but im not sure if that is the best burning program to use, infact im pretty sure its NOT the best program to use

nah he defeintly wasnt cueing he was realli going at it witht he scracthing movements, and turnign the EQ knobs all over the joint (only on the track that wasnt playing thou) it looked like he was doing turntablism...BUT....no sound was coming out it was all for show

im using a xone:22 i havent had any troubles with it, so i can vouch for it the only thing that is a bit of a pain in the ass is that the xone doesnt have an off button, so u have to either leave it on all the time OR turn it off at the power point but yea apart from that, i recon its a pretty good mixer, having said that, i havent used any other mixers, so i dont really know how it stacks up against the others

So i was out at a club the other night and i decided that i would actually watch the DJ this time and i noticed him making large exagerated scratch movements with the decks, yet no scratch noise was coming from the speakers. it was quite obvious he was just pretending to scratch, even thou the volume on that track was turned off im jsut wondering how many DJ's out there do that sortah thing...it kinda seems like posing or is that just me?

i had the exact same problem with rapid evolution i was literally bout to post a thread asking how accurate its key detection is wen i imported songs into the library, some songs already had a key given, (im guessin it had been written into the description of the song) but if i used rapid evolution to detect the key, it would come back with a different result to the already given key so it kinda made me question the accuracy of it? can anyone comment on the accuracy of rapid evolution?

yea ive heard rapid evolution is good ive been trying to download it for like 3 days now thou and i am STRUGGLING!! i still don't get the appeal to having 1 track per cd thou can anyone explain to me?

yea i definitely know mixing in key sounds better but at some point throughout the set you would have to change keys wouldnt u? or would u jsut have to have that many songs in the same key, that you wouldnt need to change keys?
