im just using logitech ones u cant crank it really loud, but if all it is for is practising at home, its fine i would actually recommend it, then save up for some really good speakers for when/if u play out

if you want to go REALLY cheap ive just hooked my decks up to computer speakers for practising at home they are no where as good as proper speakers..but itll only cost u $100

id definetly watch might even replace my porn with it cause nothing gets me off better than a good set (nohomo)

sounds like a solid idea to me i wont be able to help set up the business, but if u come to Sydney, i know ALOT of people who work in the special needs industry i could advertise your services to them, i reocn they'd think its a good idea too most of them deal with special needs kids, as opposed to kids on probation and that sort of thing

i remeber my year 6 farewell we did some sort of dance competition thing and i ithnk we did all those shitty dances liek nutbush, macareena etc etc

you shoudl be able to do it without buying CDJs wouldnt u? if ur good on vinyl, u would be able to make the transition to CDJ fairly easily i havent used vinyl before so i oculd be wrong

haha yea, thast why i cant narrow it down it kinda sounds like a shitty video camera when recording, u know how it takes a few seconds for the camera mic to adjust to new volume levels? yea it only happens when recording, when just mixing through speakers it sounded fine

yea i got all that working thanks guys recorded a mix then encountered a whole new problem it sounds like im fucking roudn with the filters throughout the entire mix, even thou i didnt use them like volumes will randomly drop, bass will randomly fade out and back inagain i itnhk its cause of a dodgey soundcard maybe? any ideas?

i recon do some mash ups work with maybe 4 songs and keep bringing them in through-out the mix so it might go sometihng like song a>b>c>a>d>c>b>a>d>b if that makes sense?

im tryin to enter caps but im gettin problem after problem with recording

Hey guys, im trying to get a mix recorded for Caps comp but im having heaps of difficulty recording. I finally got audacity working, but when i recorded the volumes were way too high and it was capping off (i ithnk thats the right term). I tried turning down the mic-in from audacity, but that didnt work. I also tried turnign down the 'monitor' dial on my mixer whihc is kinda like a master volume, that didnt work either. the only way i could stop the capping was to turn down the individual levels of each cd player to something that was JUST above 0, probably like .2 when i did this thou, the volumes were turned down that much, that even when the song was crnaking, nothing was showing up on the LED meters i made a pic to show wat im tlkain bout, cause im pretty sure i explained it terribly any help would be great thanks guys

fuck that sucks dude wouldnt u be able to contact the websites that you do use to downlaod songs from, im assuimign beatport is one of them im pretty sure they would havea database that logs all the shit youve bought from them they might allow you to re-download it since you've already paid for it?

when i bought my decks i was really concerned about getting 'club standard' cause i was planning on being the next big thing in all of syd and i was gonna be playing at all the big name clubs. its not gonna happen.... ur still a while away from 18, which also means ur a while away from clubs, to even start worrying bout club standard if i was to re buy my gear, i tihnk i would have gone the cheaper option (not the CDJ100s) if i was u Sol, go with the 350s or 850s and stop worrying bout club standard. If your a good DJ, ull be able to transition to any deck in the future

yea i tried that gys but audacity doesnt have a mic in thing for me to select ill keep fiddling round hopefully intime to upload a mix for caps challenge

im prettys ure the rule is if u dont have proper licensing, your not allowed to charge entry for the event and from memory it is NOT worth gettin the lisencing
