  1. Through my observations within the EDm scene, the faster something comes into popularity, the faster it dies out aswell It happened with dub, its happened with moombah and i bet my left nut that itll happen with trap Its the genre's that didnt have that crazy influx in popularity that chug along at a steady pace people keep coming back to it Dub will never die to some people, but to the masses i think it certainly is. Having said that, this means it can go back to the underground where it can progress and devlope and re emerge as something else.. im yet to see anything progress while its kept in the mainstream
  2. YES!!!! i also feel more badass if i have my computer working as my bitch and doing what i want without having to ask it to.... its a dominance thing...
  3. Saw this up on sound cloud, it is LAARGE!! you boys have been killing it lately, really enjoying your productions bug ups!
  4. Cheers fellas I guess that the determining a trash/non-trash sound will come with experience though ey Ive noticed by replacing kickdrums/snares/etc that it makes everything sound better, but i defiently wouldnt have been able to pick it straight away- more just on a trial and error basis
  5. hey mitch, would u be able to share the secret on how to automatically send files to a specific folder when downlaoded? Is there a way that i can just send all audio files to a specific folder?
  6. Looking forward to its release!!
  7. epic post man seems pretty similar to how i do things, except i havent got platinum notes yet what does writing hte key to the tags do? is it any different to just using mixed in key to put it in the comments?
  8. Agreed wot I also want more elaboration on this greg! WHAT DA FAQ u talking about!! Im also kinda inclined to agree with feedme about the art form of DJing, 2 deck mixing isnt an 'art' form, although this doesn't mean it requires skill.... in the same way being a gun soccer player isnt an art form, yet it still requires skill to me, for it to be an art form, your creating something from nothing, and expressing yourself through this. The only way i can tihnk of this being done in a live setting, would be kinda like how araabmuzik does it, but having said that i dont think i could sit through more than 15mins of one of his sets; too much going on and not enough fluidity (like u would get in a regular DJ set) i respect Feed Me for coming out and saying what he has said. Its good to see proper artists not getting caught up in the hype and losing their own foundations
  9. yea that makes sense Cheers Street!!
  10. ah i thought it mighta been something like that damn producers offering advice to beginners that can only be understood when heard by a non-beginner
  11. it does sound very familair ey
  12. Hey guize I saw a post on mr Enzed's facebook offering a tip about music production basically saying that picking the right sounds is one of hte most important parts of production I have heard this alot of times before, but im struggling to find the 'right sound' Is this something that just comes with experience, or are there basic rules of thumb that help to use the right sounds and samples (im more concerned with picking the right drum samples, as i make my own bass and synths) Cheers!
  13. You cant say that yet though... it still might change EDM
  14. Vamp cruise? i didnt hear about that one
  15. So after having a convo with mr GREMM1S about your first introduction/transformation into EDM, i thought i'd be interesting to hear about how you guys all got into it. For me, i was always a metal head and into rock right from an early age. When everyone else was into scribe, i was into System Of A Down, when everyone was into the killers, i was into Trivium. My uncle was (and still is) a big EDM junkie, so i always heard trance and house tracks from him, but it wasn't until Pendulum - Tarantula that i started to be converted. From there it became my itunes started filling with all the commercial classics (basshunter), into the MOS compilations and then pretty much full immersion \:D/
  16. if it was a private party id probs refuse to play until the guy had been kicked out of the party, leave it upto the the party host, not to mention it would probs embarrass the guy that hit you- having the music stop because he was acting like a whale
  17. not sure if i completely follow (use more punctuation ) From what i gather your asking, how would i as a dj handle a situation in which something attacked me? These questions are always hard to answer accurately though, cause its one thing to think it, but so much different if/when it actually happens Id like to think that id just make sure security got him kicked out and then continued on with my set.
  18. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT nah actually both offer very good advice, ive already contacted a dude in melb about getting serato though (before this second page) DVS
  19. world bar is way too crowded for my liking
  20. i also had this planned, but i soon realised that if we did get through iw ould be stuck with said duo partner... and id rather not instead im going to put a salami down my pants and hope i get interviewed by a chick
  21. to be perfectly honest, i find daft punk to be an over rated duo yes they were pioneers of the genre, but i feel they have been over taken and are given way too much applause and praise than what they deserve (not hating). Kinda feel like they are the EDM equivalent of Hendrix
  22. tbh i didnt know shit about DVS (ive always been on CDJs and never had any interest in DVSs previously), and serato was the only one i knew already lined up a purchase with seerato. so no one tell me how much better another product is than serato!!!!
  23. I just see it as 2x a normal stereo, only the second day is a mission because of being scat lol. Would be sick if they target different genres on different days though. Have a second mainstage full of trance would be nice on the second day or something. im hoping they do something more like that. if it just becomes 2 stereos on consecutive days (genres all over the place) i dont think itll work
  24. Flop out his cd wallet? I don't think they have time to check all his cds man.
