just outa curiosity... what if u burn ur records to ur harddrive with a vinyl converter or wateva? im guessin heaps of the quality would get lost or?

vinyl is better quality then cds? i didnt know that hey... Also the only people ive ever heard talk about the sound quality of clubs/peoples sets etc r my dj or sound engineer mates. no one else I know really seems to notice unless their ears are trained to...

ive got bout 60gigs of tunes ive gotten from anywhere i can blogs/torrents/beatport/cds. most of the tunes id play would be the beatport ones id say so all good

what about the difference between 320kbps and songs below like 190kbps or wateva? i havn't come across anything in these forums on the subject but i've heard different opinions on whats acceptable in a club. Some say nothing under 200, some say 320 and nothing else, others say it doesn't matter to much as long as its consistent? what u guys reckon?

i just thought 3 or more channels would be good to mix in acapellas and shit like that. also when it comes time to get some decks ive been playin around with the idea of gettin a cdj and a turntable. u know, variety being the spice of life and everything. would this affect the sort of mixer i should go for?

yeah im lookin at 300 - 400. and at least 3 channels. i done a bit of reading on the pcv175 and it sounds pretty good for what i want. theres one on ebay for 350? wat u guys reckon? can u run pretty much any mixer through traktor?

getting my first mixer this week. im after something really cheap. its just for my bedroom and occasional house parties. i dont mind upgrading down the track when ive got more coin. for now im just gunna be running it with traktor and no decks. i think id prefer something with 4 or so channels. ive been looking on ebay and theres a heap of behringer DJX750's going cheap? whats everyones thoughts on these? ive read pretty negative things on them in other forums. but surely itd do the job if its just for me mucking about in my room? is there anything else i should be takign into consideration?

well pulsebeat i dono hey. i was just gunna get a mixer and play through traktor caus i have thousands of mp3s and coin is pretty tight. but from what ive read on here it sounds like thats a bit of a no no? whats the go there? thats what most of the djs ive seen around the valley are running? is that the big debate at the moment in the dj world?

As for what prompted me i dono. i been into electronic music for few years now. just never botherd getting a setup caus of lack of funds/laziness/travelling/kinda thinking it was for try hard tossers haha. but yeah been gettin behind the decks at my mates place and few parties and stuff and i get what its about now, like totally get why people do it and am frothing on getting myself started and CBG someone posted a link in the djforums.com forums
