  3. Hahaha. I done a house party last night, everyone was off their head on googs and were all hard electro and dubstep fans which was the only good thing I took from the night.
  4. Downloaded. Not bad at all.
  5. Looking dope dflux
  6. Ok guys, We have a new battle that will be held every friday and broadcast live on ADJF radio. Rules 1. You have 10 minutes to mix as many songs as you can. Scoring System You will get 2 points for every song you play in the 10 minutes, BUT..... If it's a dodgy transition than you will only receive 1 point. Judges There will be 2 judges who have to be present in chat at the time, each contestant can pick one judge each. Who is keen?
  7. So why is it when I bend the cable back to an upright position the headphones stop distorting ect? Obviously there is something wrong with the internal wires. For example, we have a buff at work that when you plug it in it doesnt work. Hold the trigger in and wiggle lead where it goes into the buff and it starts to work.
  8. I thoght of that also, but the mixer is pretty much brand new. My headphones do it on all mixer/controllers I have used. My headphones are still under warrenty too, wonder if I can just score a new pair
  9. Deadly serious, if you have an electrical wire bent past a certain point for a period of time it will start to wear out and cause a dodgey connection.
  10. Thought about just chopping it too, a connector would be a quick and easy fix until the cord is totally wrecked. I think the cord on the XD's is thicker and heavier than on the HD's and that extra weight is whats causing it to bend.
  11. I have noticed that when using a mixer that has the headphone port on the top of the mixer like the DJM800 it causes your headphone lead to bend a fair bit and over time can cause the wires to fail and you may have to wiggle the lead around to stop poor audio quality. As you can see in the image below, my headphone cord has a bend in it and is causing me some issues. When I unplug them the lead still has that bend in it and isn't good for the internal wires. I have noticed on Beats By Dre they have an "L" shaped plug to help stop this, so I'm going to buy a "L" shape connector for my lead to help stop my cord flogging out. Going to use something similar to this, obviously this is the wrong size but its just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Good to know if anyone else has had any problems with their cords, and also you're ideas on what I'm looking at doing.
  12. Was just about to post about these. They look the goods, detachable cord is the best thing about this new mode.
  13. Well you only really have two options; Put tracks on his laptop and use Traktor Or take cds and play them I would find out exactly what decks they are because like I said before, you're friend cant connect his traktor to 1000s via usb. So you both may be forced to use cds on the night.
  14. If they have CDJ 850/900 or 2000s than yes you can just play off usb. There is a usb slot on the top of the deck, just insert usb and press the usb button and it will load all you're playlists up for you to browse through.
  15. I agree. Jonny showed me this a few weeks ago when I was buggin the shit out of him. Awesome write up man Maybe make it a sticky Cupe?
  16. Awesome, thanks Tomy
  17. Except for getting used to the cue button lag cue button lag? first i've heard of it. Any CDJ I have used running timecode cd's with Traktor Scratch Pro 1 & 2 I have noticed a slight lag with the cue button. Gandy experienced it as well when he was in Cairns having a spin on my set up.
  18. Except for getting used to the cue button lag
  19. I agree, for the extra few minutes running you're tracks through rekordbox I think its worth it. Plus being free software, there is no real reason not to use it IMO.
  20. BTW, if they have 1000's you cant hook them up to Traktor via usb cords, a timecode set up is needed. If the club has 900's/2000's than why not let him play off Traktor and you take 2 UBS sticks and plug them into the decks and you can play off USB sticks.
  21. Looks like you will just have to use Traktor. Can you get him around to you're house for a jam before the gig so you can get the feel for it?
  22. Do you know if he is using Traktor via USB plugged into his laptop or is he using timecode cd's?
  23. Traktor does take a little to learn and get used to. What set-up will you have?
  24. This is sick. It has this really fun and boppy electro beat but I can hear some dirty bass lines trying to break through and it has me waiting for something more. Then at 1:20 it has the dubstep drop. Nice one bro
