+rep for source. When I am nervous I tend to play better, I think its because you are really critical of everything you do. When you go in half-cocked you just do whatever and pray it works. Well thats what I have found with the few parties I have done, I know the club scene is a different world to house parties but either way I think you will get back into your routine and kill it.

Have the echo effect on your mixer going and just spin the platter backwards on the deck with the out going track. Bit late, you prob figured it out

I agree with Skank, last time I went out I decided not to get too drunk and listen to the tracks the dj's are playing and what they are doing. 1st club was all electro tunes and they were just getting a track beatmatched and brining it in and throwing in an effect when fading out. I met the dj's outside having a smoke and got talking about it and one said to me "man I didnt do anything tonight" To give the guys credit on other occasions they have been sick, maybe they were just going easy because it was a quiet night. 2nd club was RnB and all they were doing was just dropping the incoming track at the end of the one playing. Sometimes there was like a split second silence in between or the new track was started halfway through a word or chorus. It was pretty ordinary. Just be confident Jaz and you will be sweet. My lights are also cheapies and I carry them around in a cooler bag like Source said. I got a rum cooler bag with a carton and it fits my lights, powerboards and headphones.
