  1. i like the idea of a once a week podcast from members. I'd certainly download, and at least try listening to the different genres it could showcase
  2. on a similar topic, last night a dj saved my life is a really good read, there should be a copy included with every turntable sold
  3. just bought how to dj properly from ebay uk for about $10 inc delivery.
  4. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Allen-Heath-XONE ... 4155f9452f bargain for someone here.
  5. would you like a side of scam with that?
  6. I used to work across the road from that pub, used to do great thai food, was always a struggle to go back to work after that
  7. That'd why it's good to always record, you learn things you don't notice at the time
  8. Nice simple layout works for forums, I like the way it is.
  9. you get a lot more flexibility with a DVS. sort your collection however you like, key/search for tracks. The wave display is a lot better, you can see your cue points across the track, effects, extra decks on top of the physical cdj's. It's a good combination of full mix in the box and totally manual mixing. Some would say it's not as good as either, others say it's got the upsides of both
  10. 4ms is pretty low latency. Try higher settings and see if it improves the dropouts. Also see if you have any background jobs that take CPU from time to time. Auto windows updates can be bad for that
  11. monster = crap. even at cost price it's still not good value
  12. foget the size, those suckers are heavy.
  13. not a dj booth, but there used to be a cool kombi where the top popped off and became a bar selling tiger beer. was a great surprise to be at a festival and find my favourite beer on tap
  14. Waxed.com let's you put up to 200mb
  15. best dj booth I ever saw was the front of an old plane, and not a smal l one. Was at earthdance @ sydney park a few years ago, a great free event until it got too big and attracted a bad crowd
  16. i like the two usb input part - clubs will jump on this. just curious how one device being shared between two computers will work, and how does it decide which computer to accept the control from? I'm sure they've worked it out, after all they built the name of SSL on rock solid stability
  17. new soundcards, ta-2, ta-6 and ta-10 i think. extra channels for the sample banks
  18. I'd look around for an evo4 or wait to see what pio come out with shortly. they always have a mixer to match the cdj range and I know the djm900 has samples around already. With that budget you've got your pick of pretty much anything.
  19. you mean the dj-3500? been around in aus and NZ for ages, though i think it is a rebadged omnitronic dd-2250 or the like
  20. djm900 is just about released, might be part of this announcement also
  21. don't think you have a huge choice there as there are only a few certified mixers. mackie D4 if you could find one korg zero4 had great fx but is no longer supporter properly. zero8 was more aimed at producers but still does the job. The ecler evo line is probably your best bet for those spec. xone 4d has no effects. or look for seperate units. eg djm800 for mixer/effects and x1 for the controls (and audio4/8 as well).
  22. wouldn't be surprised if we see more from pioneer, they've re-grouped now after going through a massive upheaval when they dropped their plasma tv's.
  23. http://www.bax-shop.nl/nieuws-items/pio ... oller.html pics here, though the text is in dutch
  24. controllers for traktor and serato. DDJT1 and DDJS1 djm900 must be due for announcement shortly too.
  25. $16.91in the cart, another 20 tracks in the hold bin usually spend $30 or so a month, but not as much lately
