rapid evolution does the same thing and is free

I thought anti skate was generally set to 0? or you get the back of a one-sided pressing and set it to float there. first thing is to check the weight on it. too much weight is not the answer, gte it right them check the other things

exactly why people are dropping them. 1000's are still an awesome deck, people just want to get used to the USB and recordbox stuff that they'll use in clubs.

would like to go and take the family to this, just a bit wary after the way earthdance went, from very kid friendly to GHB issues -
you don't need to settle for a store credit Repair, replace or refund for faulty item, it's your choice which. they will try to insist on repair, then store credit, just make it clear you know your rights and want a refund.

neither 800's nor 1000's have HID mode, you'll need timecode cd's for them
-
i thought the only way to disable was to select on start screen traktor pro instead of scratch, or to not have the audio8 detected. maybe unplug/replug the soundcard and restart traktor
-
gandy - do you need some sound card on that setup? or does traktor feed back into the deck and the audio cable goes from there to the mixer? I'd hold onto the audio 8 just in case - you might play somewhere with older cd decks that need timecode or want to use tt's one day. It's still a great soundcard, useful for other things and like you said, after the recent sale you won't get a great price for it compared to what it would cost to plreace

with things like the sl4 coming out you might find a lot of other DVS users will read serato stuff, the software being free and the hardware now being in the club installation. I'd vote keep them all together
-
I get it fine through shoutcast in the squeezebox. when in US I was getting radio 1 on satellite radio in the car. wish we got sirius car radios here
-
select the output for whatever you are streaming with to the soundcard, then run through mixer and speakers
-
what are you trying to achieve with the BPM's? every time you buy tracks you'll have new ones that fit all over the BPM range, unless you re-burn your whole collection you'll never sort by bpm. If you just want to be able to write the BPM on the cd, stick it in a cdj and write on what it tells you. it's close enoguh 99% of the time

only got one of the aa's hooked up. I never really planned to have 4 tt's, and don't have the space atm to have it in a useful position, I need to work at the desk on the left 3 days a week. I can always use internal sync or a cdj if I wanted a 4th channel. 4d needs some internal jumper hooked up to get 4th phono channel, will get it done next service but not planning to open her up myself

used to habve the setup in the loungeroom, was behind the couch facing tv on an angle, have sport on tv whilst micing. now it's in the spare bedroom I use as an office so not so much room. Lounge was 4*7, this room is 4*3. Was thinking of putting this up in front, play to the lasers http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT

got 4, bought a pair of htd4.5's for good price when I wanted a 3rd, planning to sell the other one. It's in the corner with a phone on top at the moment.
-
you can set them up to jog, like the outer ring of the cdj's. I'd suggest with your setup though I would keep 2 real decks and use 2 sync'd decks for samples and the like within traktor
-
if you were doing that you might as well get the mixer of your choice and the midi controllet of choice. half the attraction of the 4d is the built in soundcard, but with serato you need their soundcard as the dongle. get a xone 92, 2* 1d or any such combination, more flexible
-
practise, or auto sync (traktor or ableton) on a cdj it's not that hard to get a perfect beatmatch, on tt's it does take a lot more skill
-
hernan catteneo parallel. disc 1 nice and chilled, disc 2 is pumping
-
you wouldn't need a top end one for this sort of thing though, so could probably buy a new projector (or another 2nd hand one) for less thana bulb replacement
-
I have them mapped in tracktor to do slow track search, scratch and fast search depending on what other button I hold down. They can work kind of like cdj's but they are too small to be good at that.
-
i think it was size limits, would be pretty cramped with an extra decent sized eq knob. they must have kept the size only as deep as tt's
-
that looks cool, wonder if you can get laser-type sweeps going
-
saw the 2000 in a shop recently, really wasn't that impressed. still, different beasts, 4d is really if you want plenty of midi controls
