    Beatport

doing some wierd shit today. firstly I hate the new layout, clunk and ugly, but I do like the hold function, I've been bitching about that for ages. then today I went to buy some new stuff to play tonight, puchase ok, but then the site goes down for maintenance before I can download the stuff I just bought. being on the wrong side of the planet makes us the unlucky ones when systems have to go dopwn, but it does seem beatport is doing a lot of this lately at least when it came up it was getting great speeds, downloading tracks in under a minute.

    UV Bulbs

was in bunnings this week and saw a normal connection UV light for about $15, but haven't found the cheap strip light I'm hoping for.
  8. ferry corsten at the old sega world in 2001. probably would have enjoyed it even more these days as I wasnt into prog at the time, so didn't enjoy the support, but was still an awesome night. ben korbel anthony pappa ferry corsten mark dynamix bounced around for 4 hours, was 6kg lighter when I got home, had sore calf muscles for a week. gave the sound guys a carton of beer to record the set for me, they gave me free tickets to digweed on NYE in return, so pretty sweet deal. they even remastered the recording so it sounds great.
  9. tis cool, how far did you get in the setup? caleupe's written a pretty good step by step guide through the process.
  10. i don't think yoy've done anything, it's just that we a;ll share one account and take turnsa logging in, so if you log in when someon else is already on there, it boots the old session. couldn't seee you logged on now so i've logged back in and am live now, no problems
  11. i logged in for scheduld slot, am thinking you just logged in again and kciked me off
  12. I can't make it for wednesday night this week. anyone care to fill in?
  13. cool, I can't make those mid-evening sets, would be cool if we could post up a thread linking to d/l's after the sets
  14. any chance it was recorded?
  15. and if you want to spend a fortune, the hdj2000. $400 or there abouts, better sound pretty dam good.
  16. shitty tasting crap? you must have been buying knock-off brands, spam's great stuff.
  17. glad you liked it, looking forward to the schedule filling up with a few more folks so we can gave it going most of the time.
  18. I'd take a punt taht the money is average sales staff wages. working odd hours to get gear to gigs (which you don't get to play at). could be fun as a part time gig whilst you do other things tho, study or the like
  19. I'm heading home now to try and make a 630 start on my set, hope some folks tune in
  20. searched a few places. I went to discogs which led me somewhere interesting, though i've still not found the track I was looking for. bigpond music has plenty of dance tracks in WMA or 320 MP3's and only $1.65 each. being in oz probably no chance of territory restrictions either.
  21. something that amazes me with the RIAA bitching about piracy. I can search for a track for ages, but as soon as I google it all I find are torrent sites, and the dodgy places that use russian copyright laws to rip off the artists. why are legitimate download sites not coming up in searches? I want to pay but they make it easier to not pay. so, if anyone knows where I can download (legally) the killers - human (ferry corsten mix) cna they let me know?
  22. not sure if it's been mentioned at all, but is this week 1 or 2? is there a direct link we could use to a page that has the show playing? eg ausdjforums.com/radio? would make it easier to mail a link out to friends to tune in
