apart from how it looked, what else has the sldz brought to the world? what are you expecting a new one to offer that we don't already have? even if it all worked well, at best you'd have a chromed denon deck
-
They have only been out a few months now, you'd have to be lucky to find them second hand so soon. And check out the traktor s4 before you decide

Got mail from djwarehouse for midweek hire. Cdjs, mixer and eon speakers for $100. Pick up Monday return Friday. Seems a fair desk if you want to mess with cdj2000 and djm800 without committing thousands

think it was dire straits - brothers in arms

the other thread is aboutr recording via a mic, room noises. i gather from this one you just want to record the output of your mixer? find an mp3 player that takes line in, and then see if it has a rockbox o/s for it. I use an iriver H340, used to have a h320 that i thought I broke so got basically another one second hand. With standard o/s records up to 320, but max file size was 200mb. Wiuth rockbox has auto-gain for dj recording, record in wav, no file size (apart from 2Gb normal limit). pick them up on ebya from time to time for anywhere 100-200

so long as you get a signal you shouldn't have a difference in speed, it's either working or not. what you might notice is the low strength signal drops out more as it gets interfered with. eg someone walking past might be enough to disrupt a really low signal

interested, what sort of price are you after?

8m square for a bedroom? that's a very big room. 8 inch monitors not at all overkill in that space. though when dj'ing remember you'll be only maybe 2 feet from the speaker. if you have other people in the room listening you might way the sub as well to fill out that space.

I paid about $75 per deck to get serviced, and he also took out the notch at 0 when he had them opened up. when you check them out look at the strobe dots on te side of the deck. there's 4 rows. each should appear to be perfectly still at different pitchs (+6, +3.3, 0 and -3.3). Doesn't matter if the slider isn't perfectly at 3.3 to get it to stay still, the point is that it stays still, and so you know it holds pitch ok. also get a record and gently scratch, making sure the needle stays on ok and so the tonearm is moving freely.

if it's well made, that price for a good soundcard and 4 channel controller seems very good value.

if you had a 3 yr old kid you would know how true this is. If it's not wiggles on the radio, it's the kid running around singing it. It is the background music to everything these days

lot of money for a bit of plastic. I just use a flag to cover my stuff, dust is the only real issue I'm protecting them from tis a bit stupid how much people sell even used and scratched covers for the 1200's for

is you look for the ST-150, also look for the American audio HTD4.5. It's almost entirely the same deck. Stanton have some extra whistle like pitch lock wihch you owuldn't use. Same deck was also sold as a citronic, Kam, and something else I can't remember. they play better than technics, can go for $150 pretty often on ebay. Can't comment on the longevity though, have spent hours playing on a friends decks

look again - you are creating the reverse image on the grey copy (ie mastrer), then reversing that again to the red, playable copy. would be interesting to hear the grey copy play tho.

the hardware side is a very small part. Never read the book but did refer a lot to his website when I started, was very useful

not in fooitprint but put one beside a 92, they are a big higher off the desk
-
I love the look of the 62. not the most modern look, but nice , clean almost industrial look to it
-
as someone who uses pretty much all methods available, sometoimes in the same set but mostly just depending on my mood, there is no best, just better for you. cdj's are ahead in general though, just as they are everywhere now. turntables, where they are there at all, are often neglected and abused as cd wallet tables
-
you may find these sites are actually legal as russian law is quite different in this area. They certainly do not pay back to the artists though.

it's the same as pressing play when you move the fader. since the channel is live when you do that, you want to have your timing right. can be useful for playing sound clips that don't need perfect timing, and you can laucnh over and over, just close the channel, open again, it will cue and play each time.
-
they are exactly the same to setup. tt's or cdj's into the sound card (audio4/8 or SL1/3) then into the mixer. the cables that traktor give you are really just the rca cables you need taped together in one package.

Need Recomendations On Powered Speakers/Studio Monitors
tubby replied to Mattye's topic in Amps & Speakers
but would those 8" monitors do a party? sure it's loud enough when they are 2 feet from your head. I have done apartment parties with monitors and goes ok but certainly doesn't pound -
be interested to see how much use you get from the kp3. i have a kp2, if I knew how little use it got I would have saved the money. but then they cost so little now (the kp2 , not the kp3)

I'd be askign for a free rental if they can't get you the stuff you are buying by then. but this is all mail order isn't it so that wouldn't help

I'd hire someone to look in this thread: http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... pic&t=2834 which tells people to look in that thread http://ausdjforums.com/modules.php?name ... pic&t=1780
