  1. you mean thr 2000? It's out and it's expensive
  2. Have you tried going onto device manager and deleting the USB devices then scanning for new devices to put them back ?
  3. would you really want that top 40 crowd in your underground house club? let them have their pubs and artificial music so we can have the crowd and music we want
  4. so you still take the serato box out, as in you want that fnuctionality? oryou just carry it out of habit or for a backup?
  5. one of the burdekin room in sydney has cdj's up like that but not at such an angle. I'm not short but I had to stretch on my toes to see the screen. At least with 2000's it's angled towards you a bit
  6. pink floyd - the wall part 2?
  7. I wanna see pics of that setup, what else goes with the decks?
  8. was going to ask wtf was going on ther,e all I see in pretty much every thread now is *comments deleted*
  9. Got a kp2 so no midi, but use traktor effects at least ten times asmuch. Since it will also do your track loading, looping. And everything I'd say the X1 is a far better investment kp's are good fun for messing about but not as useful as you'd think
  10. and soon to be fat and/or very sick?
  11. I think you'll find the speed thing was more important back when computers may not have kept up with the writing of the disc and this caused errors. I've never noticed the difference. But thrn it takes very little timeto burn thr 3or 4 tracks I put on each disc so I still use minimum speed, 4x.
  12. No doubt it'll sell well
  13. These are the 3031's, an update on the 2031a which have always been good value. Ribbon tweeters should make an improvement and the price seems ok just he sure you want an 8 inch monitor, in a small room it could be too boomy. Also remember monitors are normally pretty close to your head so they don't need to be as loud as a stereo speaker
  14. Audacity is free and very good
  15. no, bought xone 4d for traktor. I could use this one so long as I don't want time code control, it has 3 output pairs. but then my midi controller is bundled with mixer and sound card so never bothered. If i want portable i still use djdecks with the U46dj
  16. I used djdecks for years with that soundcard, was still the best DVS I have had, only use traktor scratch pro cos it has better functions and midi controls pcdj dex is the same package sold under different name.
  17. 1 song per disc helps when you need to find something quickly. I burn 3-4, as many as I can comfortably read the writing on the disc in a dark setting. doubles are not so much if the disc gets damaged, as if you want to play a track next that is on the same cd you are already playing, so more an issue if you burn discs with as many tracks as fit. Printing out the tracklist for each cd is probably a good idea in that case, easier to read. if not burning as mp3, to fit 20 tracks on a cd you must be playing radio edits?
  18. heads up - once again lots of backlist stuff 99 cents. I just checked my hold bin, almost all of them reduced now, and not just really old stuff, all the tracks off digweeds current album for instance.
  19. i got my technics serviced when one of the rca cables stopped working all the time, was one of the hting sI thought I should get done but never seemed important before that.
  20. do you have autogain on in traktor? so that may bump up the digital volume before it gets to your mixer. maybe if auto-gain is off, your outputs will be at a level closer to the natural level of vinyl?
  21. Have you tried plugging your turntable straight to the mixer? I used certified mixer not audio 8 so switch the mixer input when playing real vinyl on other DVD software I was splitting the cable, one to soundcard and back inthr line input, the other went directto the phono input
  22. Short of measuring against a watch you'll never know exactly you will get a feel for what speeds work for each genre you play, and most tracks sound odd if you go outside +\-4 or so from their original speed
  23. sample rate would make small different, not massive distortion. the first thing would be your levels. audacity at least has sound meters so you can check your input is not too loud
  24. at that level they are all pretty good, really comes down to the one that fits your head/ears, and which you prefer the sound of.
  25. surf the net, check email etc. not that beat grid etc don't have a place, but it all you are doing is track to track mixing, it gets boring really fast
