Yeh the most i have seen is serato or traktor, I will be moving over to serato sl4 in the coming months when i can get my hands on one and integrating ableton via the bridge and use my launch pad to trigger clips and so on from ableton while still in serato but thats as far as im going to go. Some clubs still have cdj1000's so playing with control cds with traktor and serato is your best bet then simply set up your serato or traktor in HID mode if you are using 900's or 2000's thats my two cents worth

I got a launch pad and ableton just thinkin of making my sets more intersting for me throwing in loops and samples, i have a soundbite micro, and currently use it to convert sound sample to midi from my mixer then run it to ableton to sync it all up, too messey and thinkning of goin digital all the way and still using cdj's

anyone use serato with ableton via the bridge?? if so im thinkin of goin down that path, wanna get an idea of how useful it is

If you can go to a dj store to try some headphones, you got too types really ones that are big and go over your ear or ones that sit ontop of your ear senheiser HD25's sit ontop of your ear A&H XD 53s sit over your ear these two i would reccomend or audio technicas ATH 700 which use the same gear as the A&H but less durable my first pair of cans were the technicas and i love them its personal preference its one piece worth investing in. The HD25's are really durable and everything is replacable on the suckers

QFT, I'm wrecked every time i do partys after playing for 5 hours or so with setting up and packing down. It's good money and heaps of fun with everyone getting loose but i prefer playing out now because i can rock up and play, abuse my $50 bar tab and not worry about gear and packing up. yep u have the right idea ha ha

im thinking of sending a container from syd anyway so im looking to get a quote soon. thinking of selling some of my gear like my cdj 800s and my ecler mixer, then leaving my cdj350's my four channel mixer, pa speakers and monitors to my bro so he can mess around with them then just taking my launch pad, laptop sound card and buying a S4 and monitors when i get there after I settle in. im talking as if i already got the job lol interview is over the fone on wednesdays packin shit about it ha ha!
