if thats the case first thing you need to do is decide on what DAW (digital audio workstation) you want to use the popular ones are: Ableton: http://www.ableton.com/ Logic Pro (Mac only): http://www.apple.com/au/logicpro/ FL Studio: http://www.image-line.com/documents/flstudio.html Pro Tools: http://www.avid.com/US/products/family/pro-tools The reason im listing the popular ones is that for the most part there will always be easy to find tutorial videos if you get stuck with anything all of these sites offer a 30 day full feature trial, with the only limitation being you cant save the actual project file, you can however export your work to mp3/wav etc. have a play around with those to see which you feel comfortable with, give or take a few things they are very similar, what you feel is easiest/comfortable to use is the right choice to go with and we have users of ableton, logic pro and FL Studio on these boards who can help out with any questions you might have you may also want to check this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8132 in regards to all of these as well
