purely personal preferance, both are equal quality wise imo, i chose the xd-53's because there closed ear and comfy as fuck and there was no way i could justify paying 400 bucks for the hdj 2000s the sennys feel like a freakin praying mantis is sittion on my head/neck, i just couldnt get them to sit comfortable. I was blown away though how awesome they are at isoloation for being open ear

haha cheers mate, done on cdjs but i dont use any dvs (so, no sync! ). so its just cdj/mixer/cdj, the awesome djm350 lets you record stright from the mixer to usb in high quality wav then i just convert it to 320 mp3 to reduce the file size glad you liked the progression of the mix, its something ive been working on as my "next thing" mix wise, and think it came off better than i hoped. I wanted to start it off with a good build up track for my first one, then some nice upbeat female vocals, then with track 5 (summer of love) being the track to break things up and transition into a different "style" then bringing things back to the start with the final track to leave a nice taste in your mouth last transition was a little rough though lol but i thought fuck at this stage people are just waiting for that finishing touch to complete the mix and end on a good note cheers for the feedback

hey mate had a crack at this today, couple of things from my end: i liked the acapalla juggle aroudn the 41min mark while the chorus of sweat was playing, pretty funky couple of things to work on for next mix: vocals on vocals, big no no, makes it just sound like "noise" and distracting. also work on your timings, a lot of the tracks you were bringing in, especially 0-25min part of the mix were being brought in mid phrase, totally throwing things out and making it sound like it was just two songs playing at the same time, instead of a nice smooth blend. keep up the practise mate looking forward to your next one

always loved music, was a club fiend for 8 years straight (every thurs/fri/sat nite) and loved that fact that the dj could control my emotion and mood for the night. It didnt matter how shitty my week was, i could go to my club with my fav dj and forget about all the shitty things in life. Having that kind of power to influence people, the thrill of seeing ppl lose there shit when you drop some big bombs, is a natural high no drug can replicate. Also, i love handing out my monthly mixes, then people coming up and saying how much they loved my music, that feedback never gets old
