  3. haha cheers man, im a massive fighting game fiend love smashin it up with my mates and headin down to the arcades in the cities to test my skills, currently smashing Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition, Mortal Kombat 9 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 was $249 for the stick and $99 for postage from the states, took about 3 weeks to get here, had to ebay the sucker was lucky to pick up a brand new unopened one cant wait to test it out this arv!!
  4. Depends on how you plan on running it. If it is setup in a timecode, then you can use most. Also if your CD player has HID/Midi then most likely yes. However traktor does not have mappings for ALL CD players. Meaning you would have to midi map your CD player as a controller for it to work, which is a pain and can be problematic. yeh i had to use my 350s as timecode because i bought them first week of release and no tsi file was available that early, use HID now though of course as of writing with the 850 tsi is now available so i think as it stands now, every pio cdj that is HID compatabale has its tsi available
  5. ^ this, 850s will soon replace even the 350s soon imo, affordable entry level/middle tier decks with big platters and a boat load of features that come close to the amazing 900s
  6. make an offer for 1500
  7. rofl fuck that
  8. i hope they dont expect me to mc, i make magic happen with my hands not my mouth
  9. umm im not worked up?
  10. just because it doesnt have intense wobbles and synths that make you turn inside out, doesnt mean its not dubstep
  11. i suppose this isnt dubstep either?
  12. ?????????????????? ??
  13. i was about as anti dubstep as they come, until i was shown this little number, it was like having a mini epiphany, havnt looked back since
  14. thanks for all the great advice guys, certainly helping put my mind at ease, i know weddigns are a whole different kettle of fish to club work, guess im just a lil nervous cause this is my first one and i dont wanna be the one that ruins my mates most special nite lol
  15. good god, +rep lmao
  16. ok, ill bite phrase*
  17. nothing worthwhile comes easy, if it did you wouldnt feel a sense of accomplishment and wouldnt enjoy the fact you have mastered an art
  18. this is pretty much beatless's area of expertise at the moment i can vouch the man knows his shiz in regards to small business setups just dont expect him to show up on time to pub lunches and yea consultant would be the go, pretty much what everyone in this thread has said has been spot on, good to see some other tech heads here
  19. cheers man +rep
  20. thats what i figured, figured ill just be running from itunes for the first half of the nite since its pointless trying to mix 70's-80's crap and mite even just setup a playlist where ppl can walk up and add there own song to the cue, then when all the fomalities are done and everyones half charged, get on the decks and get the place pumpin
  21. one good thing though they said they want to see me unleash at the end of the nite, so im guessing for the last hour or so i can jump on and go nuts, but apart from that...
  22. so as per my other story in the big ups thread, i now have a wedding gig to do, i said id never do weddings but couldnt really turn down this request. They will be hiring all the gear for me, but my questions is... what the fuck do you do at weddings as a dj???? ive asked them to give me a list of music they want to hear as i stated straight away i only have disco beats, never done a wedding before, dont have any other music yadda yadda and they said yea sweet no worries they will get that too me so all good, but having never been to a wedding or reception, i have no idea what to do cheers whales
