  1. you dont need any timecode cds with midi, you use it as a controller like the ns6/s4 etc
  2. grats pundaddy, sorry didnt read you were sydney promoters def the go by the sounds of it *southern texas accent* back home here we dont have promoters ya'll just rock up and do ya thang
  3. love pharrell hes a fuckin champ!!! he had his ownt thing going on with N.E.R.D they had a few floor fillers back in the day
  4. vdj is great for the bedroom, but if you're actually going to pay for a dvs setup, traktor or serato should be your only options if you dont decide on tt's and go the cdj route, and you end up getting some pio decks, rekordbox is a great free barebones dvs that provides a clean easy to use gui to organise tracks
  5. i just checked the "urban" aria charts and half of it aint even urban :S. I guess you could itunes and see whats being downloaded/popular in that genre
  6. hmm very interesting question, i probably wouldnt as i wouldnt know for sure if it was hired or personal equip and on the very remote chance something go wrong with them i wouldnt risk the blame, but someone of your experience i dont think there was anythign wrong with you ussing them over an entry level setup used in a reputable club
  7. pick a venue that you like, then be seen there, alot. Start making casual convo with the resident, get to know the venue manager and go from there. Thing is, there's a lot of ppl who want that top job, and in this industry its a challenge getting places without knowing ppl
  8. i make sure my travel/equip hire (i never use my own gear for mobileing) setup and packup time is all covered, then charge $60 per hour

  10. farrrk that if he was my bro hed be breathing on borrowed time
  11. i sold mine for 1500 (never left the house, well looked after, never had drinks/food anywhere near them, no damage, always covered) to a mate, they have dropped a lot in price since i bought them brand new first week of release, but that happens with anything. The other thing to consider is the 850s are startign to push to be the new "entry level" deck and i think 350s will be the last lot of small platter decks to be made
  12. suby they go brand new for 2k https://www.storedj.com.au/products/PIO-PK-CDJ350-1

  17. xd53's are boss, simply amazing i think 3/4 of this board rocks em, and the rest hd-25's. I bought them purely off everyones reccomendations from here because i dont have a dj store near me, and was not disappointed id say the xd53's and hd-25s are evenly specced, just different preference on what feels more comfortrable
