  1. hard to answer with such a short question CDJ 850 easy, its pretty much the CDJ 1000 functionality with added USB/midi and Recordbox support + more
  2. its all good, his fault for being so slack to tell me if he kept me in the loop from the start i wouldnt of been on his case, a wedding is pretty ordinary without any music
  3. ^old SOL: What you are thinking and planning is reasonable. Engagement is similar to wedding but less bull i.e. no throwing bouquet, bestmans speech, 1st dance to work round... So get ideas for the playlist from them, Start slow, mix it up later. For more info chk these threads: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4852 (sources posts are the gold) viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1755 (for things to be ready for) viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3809 (for songs that are likely to go down well, not all are gold tho!) Gandy: shame about that mates wedding mate. Thought you were gonna boss that and was waiting for a gig log. yeah i felt bad because i kept hassleing the groom with like dude get me the fuck your list of want you *DEFINATELY* want to hear or its going to be shit house i need time off work yadda yadda then he was like "yeah weddings been post poned"
  4. yeh but thats without a roadcase, and id go a DJM400 over a DJM350 any day i prefer the 350 for the record to usb function, makes recording your work/performance stress free and its high quality wav format, and you can cut your mix on the fly with track numbers/pointers if you prefer more efx to play with and already have a way to record then go the 400
  5. ive never done a wedding mate, you might be thinking of skank/foolish i did have one lined up for this month however they lost the venue at the last minute and had to re-schedule for next year sometime, but thats what i was going to do, get a list from the hosts of what bangers they want to hear and build up a good list from there and auto crossfade till everyones half charged and get on and spin from there. people with more experience doing weddings than me should be able to help you out
  6. another option is to get a dedicated pci soundcard if you dont weant to go to the hassle of getting a new mobo

  21. still torn between the two i want to vote for
  22. ive still got two to listen too, will do that on the weekend, outo f the 5 ive listened to i have a favourite
  23. also, in this rare case, if your main focus is live remixing/mashing ups/efx/sample dropping/cutting etc i dont mind the use of autosync to keep the set flowing, because honestly to sound good doing all that is hard work and having to worry about beatmatching when your live editing nearly every track you play for your set would just be a nuisance
  24. saw this on the storedj facebook page nearly all the s4/s2 vids i see have the disclaimer of *jog wheels have been mapped to efx* which makes me think the s2/s4 is more of a "use autosync and spend all your energy (you would normally spend beatmatching) on live remixing/mashups when your using this to play out, would also explain the micro sized platters. Cool if your into that kinda thing, can really ruin your set if your not a god like ean though avg user throwing in random efx/samples = ears bleeding
