Hey guys, As you all know i had these up for sale a couple of months ago, and was holding onto them for a buyer who unfortunately flaked on me, so this pack is back on the market, great setup for entry level/beginner have never left the house, all original receipts, $1500
-
Welcome, 350 package is an awesome kit, don't be afraid to ask any questions in the beginner section
-
on a slightly random note, Pressure (Alesso remix) is one of my fav prog house tracks, gives me a boner everytime i listen to it
-
^ spot on once again, for me it's beatport, if I run into region restriction issues I buy it from iTunes Www.dancemusichub.com has like a pseudo commercial genre that I also look to from time to time if I need some top40 that I can't find on beatport/iTunes
-
i think you'll find asking where to pirate music/download music illegally is frowned upon or against the forums rules, especially since we have so many original artists on these boards..... if you feel me
-
i never had any issues with them when i was using my timecode setup
-
Can't stand hardstylz sorry
-

Dj school. Good investment or waste of money?
Gandy replied to MelodyIlliterate's topic in DJ Headquarters
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6974 ^ going through those 5 videos is a great starting point, if you are still unsure of things then possibly you might get something out of the dj school/course -
Dj school. Good investment or waste of money?

have to agree with source here, if you can get a mate who can run you through the fundamentals of beatmatching and teach you some basic music theory that relates to djing you will be way ahead of the crowd. Then you can spend that money you would of spent on the course on your setup. -
^ awesome experience isnt it, a memory you will never forget well done
-
for me its my creative outlet, something to look forward too after the grind everyday, i always joke around and call my setup the sanity station, if i make big thats just a bonus getting feedback on my mixes is also a really nice feeling, knowing the fact that for the length of my mix they forgot all of their problems and rocked out and loved life to my work, that feeling never gets old

mitch is bang on the money, and its why rekordbox is such a good program. either create your playlists in rekordbox then transfer those playlists to your hdd and plug the hdd into one deck and use link mode or bring 3 ethernet cables and a little 4 port switch, plug the 2 decks and laptop into the switch via ethernet cables then fire up rekordbox and click the link button. No mappings, no setup, no fuss

welcome aboard

you will find older equipment can only "read" cds that are burnt as audio cds, you might have been burning it as a data cd when putting the mp3 track on it. Itunes gives you the option to burn as an audio cd regardless if the song is mp3 or wav so you dont have to manually convert your songs

hmmm im not sure what you are saying? i think you are mixing up EDM artists/ producers who perform versus djing. if you create a song say in pro tools, and then during a dj set, you play that song you are not miming? you are playing a song (which is djing). then there are those artists that perform live. i.e. they have samples, stems, and so on and then wil play their music live using the software and their controllers/ keyboards/ keytars/ pads and whatever other midi devices. yes, a lot of dj's are now using these additional things to spice up their dj sets. but a dj set is still the act of playing pre-recorded music into a set. this could include live remixing, or live sampling, but in the end it is stringing together tracks. not performing a track live. i think this goes back to my previous comments about producers and djs. people have to realise not all producers who get signed to a fest are performing live, they could be up there to do a dj set. on the other hand if you are talking about those few people who have been busted with an entire set that was premade in a software and then they get up and press buttons which are not plugged in. then yes that could be called cheating. once again eggs you have completley mis-read my post, congrats, maybe english is not your first language or something? I know the difference between a producer and a dj thanks. For someone who continually has an opinion about venue djing but has no expereince you sure do like to argue just for the sake of argueing what you dont seem to understand is, that a lot of djs sets are basically pre mixed but still cut up in track form, so all the dj has to worry about is hitting play at the right time and basic beat matching on the incoming track, and the rest is done for them by somone who has prepared their set in pro tools/logic if you need me to break it down even further let me know
-
untill i found out how premade/premixed/automated/computerized sets are done for performers at music festivals i use to be totally against it, then i started to get to know the people behind some big name performers and how much work they put into pro tools to make sure everything is totally perfect for the dj, then found out all radio sets are done exclusivley in pro tools/logic made me realise well, at least bagz is doing a live performance and its only using sync... people are going to do what people are going to do regardless of what anyone says, for me now its a matter of whether i enjoyed the mix or not, and nto the technical aspects of it, once i found out that "live djs" at festivals basically do the equivilant of miming a song (including miming playing there instruments), i just gave up careing on a personal level when i record a mix, i take great pride in the fact that i have the skillset to beatmatch and know my theory timing and phrase wise, i still get a buzz when i finish nailing a set and still get a natural high from doing it live, un-aided and i guess tahts the most important thing
-
you were probably waiting for a reaction from me because i knew it was sync'd as well (could tell by the sync light on the controller being perma lit, plus those cuts were too robotic, as you said), just no point careing about it anymore everyone does it and everyone thinks its ok /shrug

powered, you can tell by the picture of the back of the speaker, has power input, power switch (off/on) and its own volume control

hard to explain it just feels better and is more accurate and responsive, i find on the the 350s you kinda have to press down on the edges/corners (corners on a round platter derrrp me) and between the middle and the edge of the small platter there isnt much room, really hard to explain i could show you in about 5 seconds :S plus once you use normal sized platters there is just no turning back
