rekordbox is free You might as well get the bundle of MIK + PN because you save a little extra

^ i do the same thing, i like my shit organised and easy to find -Run through platinum notes (correct volume etc.) -Run through mixed in key (detect BPM + Key) -Add to iTunes -Convert ID3 tags to 2.3 -add the year and genre that should be standard for everyone imo and the rest i do for easy searching

rekordbox is a barebones DVS that basically just provides you a bigger display for sorting tracks. Its very lightweight and very stable because it doesnt really do anything, just like having a bigger screen on your cdj (which is why i love it so much)

i use Mixed In Key, another good thing is once again, you can dump your entire itunes playlist into that for analizing. Ive found out over the years that itunes is the most compatable software out of everything, so if you sort your shit out how you want it in itunes, chances are other software will be able to hook into it or you can simply do a copy paste you can find Mixed In Key here: http://www.mixedinkey.com/

whenever i get a new track, i add it to itunes. In itunes i have playlists sorted by genre, then after i sort everything in itunes to how i like it, simply drag and drop that into rekordbox under the same headings. when i use to use traktor you could directly access itunes playlists edit: - all my tracks have Key and BPM in the title, which helps find a specific track quickly within the playlist

im guessing with all the tutorials/help/info/publicity he has given FL Studio the company would of sent him an invite only to help test the alpha version before it gets released as a public beta normal development cycles of most software usually goes inhouse alpha > inhouse beta > public beta > release version 1.0 id say in about a month or so there will be a public beta for you to get your hands on

Should of done my research though, only just spotted the change currency tab "facepalm" checked the storedj link, extra $80 gets you a box and disc i guess? i believe so. You will find anything you can digitally download will always be cheaper than a physical copy because of materials and postage (it still has to get sent in a box with physical media to storedj)

well after two seconds of searching storedj looks like you can buy the hard copy, although it is $80 dearer. heard about this from the guy ive been chatting too on youtube, he was saying now is a great time to pick up FL studio at the price it is because of the free lifetime upgrades, and will possibly retail at a similar price to the other big players when it gets released, he been testing the alpha version for a month or so said it has a lot of promise

so is this instead of having to make and tweak your own sounds/sample with a synth? You can just download samples to use?

i think you're all missing the point =_= only reason i posted was incase people came across videos they would like to access offline, as is the case with all the FL studio tutes, i dont want to have to be connected to the interent and re-stream the 30/40min tutorials all the time, i want them on my hdd to access whenever i want and organised into lesson numbers
