  2. you had me at felguk <3
  3. i never use aus post for that exact reason, they are hopeless. I really hope everything works out mate sorry to hear
  4. what vinyl do you own sol, and that will answer your question
  5. buying a tt to play vinyl is different than buying a tt to play digital songs via timecode. You already have large platter cdjs, there would be no point in you getting a controller 7" tt or timecoded vinyl setup when you have your cdjs.
  6. sol, everytime you say "you dont want to spend too much money on this" you end up cheaping out and regretting it. all i can say is the st150s are top notch and only 600 a pop, spend some time saving up for those and you will keep them for the next 10-20 years no joke
  7. Wav is uncompressed all wav files are a lot bigger than mp3 / aac
  8. ive been through what your going through now, i had to sell all my setup to keep my head above water. I sold all of my setup bar my speakers and went cold turkey with no gear or production software for a good 6-8 months, hardest thing ive ever done. If its not your full time job then its a sacrifise you are going to have to make, then when things turn around and your ready to buy again, you get to appreciate it a lot more plus buy all the latest shit (well not really in your case seeing you had 2000s ), which is awesome. i never regretted it, i sat down, made a mature decision and did what i had to do to get by, and now ive just bought a new digital setup (numark NS6 plus st150) and love all the new shit i get with a controller + TT. Controller makes it sooooo easy to pack up and go to a mates place/party/corporate function/dj gig.
  9. I'm the same mate. I have a little stash and no TT. So far I gots: Jurgen Pape - Take That Deep Dish - Say Hello Chemical Brothers - Galvanize Daft Punk - Technologic Daft Punk - Robot Rock Chemical Brothers - Galvanize Daft Punk - Technologic Daft Punk - Robot Rock are going on my list too, it will probably be a sunday ritual for me now, every sunday jump on, buy a couple of records of tracks that have a lot of meaning to me

  16. after some googlefu, i have found out a lot of people are having this issue (sigh), i will list the common suggestions by the numark / serato tech reps and post my success/fail results. 1. turn off wifi/bluetooth tested (always have it turned off when i dj) - still get drop outs 2. do you have any other external usb devices attached? no - still get drop out 3. are you using a usb hub to connect the ns6? no - still get drop out 4. Rogue Amoeba Instant Hijack can cause audio connection problems on OSX Certain Rogue Amoeba software for OSX installs an extra background service called Instant Hijack. This extra can cause audio connection problems with ITCH. We suggest uninstalling this extra if you are having audio connection problems with ITCH. no idea what this is, but will investigate tomorrow and try it out 5. have you deleted any corrupt itch music files and re-analysed the tracks? are you fuckign kidding me? you mean i have to second guess whether or not ITCH can analyse tracks without corrupting them?? Will test this after i uninstall instant hijack if i still have issues, as with any troubleshooting no point trying two variables at the same time 6. are you on the latest firmware for the ns6? yes - sill get drop outs 7. have you got the latest version of ITCH? yes - still get drop outs
  17. when i was recording today, the sound was randomly cutting out for half a second and i am not sure what the go is. The NS6, to my surprise uses a pissy little 12v 2.1mm power supply (considering what it has to power) instead of your normal 3 prong ac power cord you use for your computer etc, could it be a power issue? hopeing to get this sorted soon
