my first experience in the booth was on nightlife lol, when i very very very very first wanted to get into djing and had no idea about any of it, the resident dj asked me to come in for the first hour of a wed/thur/fri nite for a couple of weeks and use nightlife to gauge my track selection and general genre knowledge. If i ever have someone i know that was amibitous like me come up and ask to learn to DJ, its probably the same thing ill do with them, no point in being a DJ if you cant select good tracks sure there were only a handful of people plus bar staff between 9-10pm, but seeing those ppl lose there shit and see them so happy when i dropped a good track is what made me decide i wanted to be a real DJ and gotta agree with skank, much better than using chan v/radio while preparing for the night
