Bought a aluminium case from Bunnings 29.00 and will put my mixer and installed connections in it. I was wasting too much time setting up with installing plugs etc. Will have two grommet holes to side front and back and setup by pulling out the usb plug to laptop and pull out amp input plugs and power from the other grommet hole . Open top and ready to go. Three cord connection should take minutes. Amp power and connection to speakers should be the usual time but have mixer case opened and ready to go faster.

Solved the sub used as a table for beer glasses by putting my speaker bags on top of it. No one moved them but for speeches the fuckers started putting glasses on my dj table while they talked. Having 200 people staring at the speaker and you close behind I could not tell them to move their glasses so thinking of having no spare room on the table with a road case filling it up. Any suggestions for solving this problem?

Yep a fogger tripped my powerboard. Crawling around on the floor checking power boards in deadly silence does not create a good impression arse out, head under the table.

Yeah, my pub was on Smith St one block north from Victoria Parade. Bitch face owner said if she could hear any noise from outside, I'm out. So,not going to hang around playing background till stumps, so said goodbye.

Gig didnt go too well. Bar owner told me to turn the volume and bass down at 11.30pm cause neighbours complaining or 700.00 fine from Yarra Council. Said it was a residential area. One block from the CBD, for Christs sake. Spat the dummy, packed up and went home.

Someone was so unimpressed with Fabs gig at the Old England Hotel in Heidelberg that I have been invited to play at the British Crown Hotel in Collingwood this Saturday night. Worlds second oldest DJ is on a roll. Cobbled together a playlist of Apria top club 100 so hope that is what they want to hear. Seems anyone can be a DJ if they want to be. Just have to know party people. Party is being put on by a oil squillionaires son, who knows me.

Welded my light stand with a bolt on the top for my bracket took me two rods and fucked up real bad, mostly grinded the weld bubbles back and filled in the missing bits second and third time around. Did it with thongs on and shorts and flashed myself a couple of times, minor burns but learning all the time.

I got a powered skytec sub for 399.00 from dj warehouse 500wrms, does a medium size club ok but keep the fucker away from you or you have a throbbing headache for at least a day and a half.

People put drinks on my sub and walk off. only a matter of time before I have a spill on to the speaker. Thinking of making a folding roof for the sub out of chipboard on about 30 degrees so they cant do it. Anyone seen anything like that for sale or a cone cover?

Recently did a gig in a bar The bar was about 15m X 30m and filled with about 150 people. I was surprised how well my no names handled the evening. They are the same as DJaz's but passive. First time I have used them in a medium size inside venue. Could handle about 75% of 500wrms very well, but started to strain at 500wrms.per ch.(full power for my amp.at 8 ohms.) Speakers are rated at 350wrms. Stilll a good full sound considering they were 3m away from walls and on stands. Wasnt expecting much bass so had a powered sub working also. Amp did not even get warm so considering buying another pair to double my volume at 4 ohms. Speakers were 118.00 each on ebay about a year ago. Byron Trader.

I do it for cake cause I'm a big hearted guy and feel sorry for the wretched losers I know. It's also fun to be mc and work the crowd. I would say about 300-500 if I wanted to make a quid out of it.

Take off the cover for better ventilation My fan died and I ran my desktop 8 hrs a day with the cover off for about 1 year.

Got a neat laptop stand that lifts up and tilts the pc about 40mm off a table and folds flat from Reject shop for 4.00

Lost about 10% hearing on my left ear from using electric saws when I was on the tools. Always thought my stereo was playing up until I got tested at work. Still see guys using noisy equipment without ear protection. They will be sorry in about 10 years time.
