  1. Check and double check your equipment No good finding you lost a patch cord while your setting up. Always carry spares just in case. Good luck and tell us how it went.
  2. Not as bad as Jabba the Hut, Star wars, but close
  3. Wish I still had a waist
  4. Cut the pole and height seems ok Can see over the laptop screen also so can purve on the babes Thanks all.
  5. Thanks boys Might go with the elbow height as it seems comfortable. Have been stacking books on a bench to determine if this is the right height for working the controls.
  6. Ta Andy if I can find my bellybutton I'll measure it from the floor.
  7. Planning on standing or sitting on a stool when I dj instead of sitting at a table or standing over it and cant find a comfortable height to set my deck at, any suggestons? 1070mm from the floor is too high and before I cut my speaker pole support for my rostrum would like to know what other people suggest.
  8. So is the cruise Can fall off your stool fucked and no one notices till close up time.
  9. Can't argue with you Andy years ago when I used to design and build speakers had to work out wave lengths and half wave and quarter wave for internal dimensions of speaker enclosures in relation to the speaker fundemental resonance etc. but the old brain is beyond that now from too much sex and drugs and rock and roll. Use to build amps for musos and was a valve jockey for bands I managed. but that was a hundred years ago.
  10. Bought a 18" Skytek powered sub for 400.00 from Store DJ 500wrms. Can handle a mid size club say 25m X 15m bar easily. Seems the bigger the room the more bass you get out of em. Play them in a living room at full bore and you can hardly hear them. Fuckin wierd.
  11. Read somewhere that moulded curved speaker cabinets disperse sound waves better than square cabinets and can be smaller in size for he same output. Hate big speakers have owned lots of them. Shame no one has invented speaker electromagnets to reduce their weight.
  12. Now the speak pole is too tight have to wrestle with the fucker on the floor to get it out. Glad I found out at home and not at a gig.
  13. If your a bloke and want to come over to see me look at my face. Feeling lucky punk?
  14. I prefer girls to come over and bend down to search my laptop that way I can purve on their titties.
  15. Its not powered but looks exactly like yours so I think it comes from the same manufacturer. I wanted another pair so my amp would be down to 4ohms and I would get 1500wrms out of them. There only rated at 350mrms each and they strain when I push them to 500wrms or it might be the amp (full bore for the Behringer at 8 ohms.) Bass cut out set at 50hz Contacted Byron Trader and asked for some more and they said they might have some by Christmas 2010 Cant get em now cause I'm moving but want two more soon. God value for 118.00 each and if you wreck em no big deal.
  16. New speaker stand arrived today. The pole is slightly smaller than the speaker mount I have, seeing it is from another manufacturer. Have to swap over the speaker base plate now to stop it shaking about. Oh bother those speaker poles.
  17. Yep been extracting Tractor exe. from Samsung external HDD but removed it when I shut down the laptop. When I started the laptop this morning it was still running. Might try to delete it.
  18. Thanks Cupe What does it do?
  19. Keep seeing this on my task manager Can anyone explain what it is?
  20. N.I sent me my serial number to reboot Tractor all is well again. Kept a hard copy this time for next crash.
  21. Used to shoehorn as many tracks on a burned cd as I could of the same genre and write the songs on the cd and on a printed playlist. Was useless as I was usually too fucked to read what I was playing and the audience was the same and danced to anything.
  22. Just Duo freebie with NIdj2 Prefer other software but it was gratis so I stuck with it
  23. I crashed the puter last week and could not retrieve Tractor from the Tetrabite back up. Asked N.I for help with another download and waiting for reply. Retrival via cd seems easier than re loading software on line from websites.
  24. Thanks DJaz not really what I wanted. It was about the same price to buy a speaker stand delivered from China than a 1.8m length of 35mm timber dowell from Bunnings, 38 dollars I ordered one and will keep the base and legs for spares.
