Have'nt even found the cd player in the new car. Got heaps of music on my Samsung phone and use that. Use it for background music at pubs for private functions also.

We eat maltesers when we watch movies no cookies.

Every time I use my laptop to play movies via a terabite I have to log on to AFDJ again on startup. Why is this so? Dont loose my auto save on other applications.

Got a couple of 3 way old speakers I have used for surround sound. Have'nt used them for a couple of years and when I connected them up today the 12" bass speakers are rock hard. They wont move at all WTF never happened to me before. They have seized up. The magnets have rust on them even though they have never been outside. Into the dumster, RIP Yamaha NS 690 speakers. Only had them since I was 20 years old.

Read that JB Hi Fi are selling access to millions of song downloads for 100.00 pa. with their music subscription streaming service soon for i phones. Will that mean everone is a dj and will hire an amp and speakers for their own party? The catalogues we spent years creating are available to anyone for 6.67 a month. So I'm guessing you could sign up just before your party and make up your own playlists, plug in and off you go. Like to hear comments please.

Reluctant to use lighting much nowdays. Takes forever to set up and pubs always dim lights so your effects are washed out to a degree. The AC sucks out your smoke and some dont allow smoke. Just a couple of cans and a chaser is all you get, if I'm in the mood.

Just bought a 5m strip light for 220.00 Does colours and dimmer with remote. Gunna put it behind the wall length speaker cupboard in the TV room as a wall wash uplight. Dim the lights as the movie starts. Cant wait for it to arrive. www.led-depot.com.au

My new laptop is set as 32 for compatibility with old XL programs. What will happen if i set it to 64?

Problem resolved Set my cpu throttling to minimum 100% from 5% and increased my usb buffer from 1ms to 2ms. Thanks for your help.

Thanks guys have wiped everything off the new laptop with the file transfer in regard to tractor. re loaded the latest tractor version 127UPzip (which I did not do before) and dodging the virus software managed to get it working again. In Tractor properties preferences changed the compatibility to Windows 7 from XL. With the new upgrade of tractor all your Audio setup and preferences are pre loaded for you. with the old version you had to do it yourself Problem is now I am now getting audio dropouts What latency setting should I use? currently it is .5ms

Thanks Mitch have done that several times, sent a support file to NI so they can check my file paths and find the problem. hope that works.

Jaz and I use Glycerin from Woolies (in the cooking section next to the chocolate cake sprinkles in mine)with distilled water about 1/3 gly to 1 water in our 60.00 ebay smokers and I'm happy with the effect. Costs about 3.00 a litre so no probs running it alot.

Having all sorts of problems downloading service manager from NA to a windows 7 computer Seems there is a forum of fellow dj's having the same problem. When you have downloaded the current version it cuts you out when you try to open it saying windows will close. Tractor still works on my old XL computer and will connect to service manager, no problem I have to trick SM by opening it offline and when it says reconnect to web and I do, it will open. Says all the following programs are activated and up to date and shows a blank screen. NI have been very patient the last week offering suggestions and procedures by email, but nothing seem to work. Could get my old laptop repaired yet again for 300 dollars but its 6 years old and I have already spent about 1500 getting it repaired over the years. Just bought a new one and Tractor should work on it.

Bought a belkin easy transfer cable to load the new computer, well worth the money 49.00 Transferred over almost everything in one hour, same layout as before. Had to reload Windows Office from disc and Tractor from the web and a few bits and pieces. Beats using a terabyte that sprays it everywhere like last time and takes hours.

I know, it's not really my nature lol
