Regarding grounding for the PC I found you can connect a two pin 240 volt plug into a 3 pin P.C transformer socket by just sanding deeper the small channel in the middle of the plug both sides Saves any other work to remove the earth and looks better too.

Its a variable resistor like a volume control. There is no resistance when the control is at mid position but as you turn to the left or right those contacts have resistance applied to them. If you turn to the left (ipod 1) The difference between them is about 1000 times quieter than the right (ipod 2) Easy to make up as one middle pin on the rca plug(Active) wire each end and one wire out the middle There are two pots to a controller so you repeat the procedure on the second pot (left and right channel) as you do both left and right out and the earth is grounded on the pot base. common to shield on rca plugs. So you say 32gig sticks are unstable?. Got one on ebay from Honk Con for 17.00 It had on customs declaration 'TOY' I think it is, cause it fails every time I use it Memory shows full but opening files says file empty. 50% of files dont work. but work next time but others dont work then. Formatted the thing and reloaded about 4 times and scanned for errors, but still plays up.

Always found i pods sound tinny played through a pa. But the same songs on I tunes played through a p.c sound ok?

Thanks found a fix /scan for errors on the pewter for removable disc and all is well. Hit the wrong music folder icon to delete and deleted the good file,had to back up again from source. Always got three back ups in different locations.

Always carry my first system as back up. Two walkmans and a balance control as a fader. built into a small box.

I have a corrupted playlist file on my memory stick. I tried to delete it but it won't let me saying "file is unreadable cannot delete" Fucking Trend micro security failure again, no doubt. I dont want to copy the memory stick to laptop without copyng the corrupted file and format the stick again and re paste, as with a 32gig stick half full, it will take me ages. I have relocated the file and buried it in another place on the stick for now. Any recommendations?
