Well I've put the router back near the wall and facing the upstairs and its gone back to low signal. Fucken durrr router, I"m not putting it on the floor in the middle of the room so the laptop says good signal, so puter, live with it. Still works, so no loss.

How heavy are those jaycar speakers? Just looking at them has given me a sore back. Must be 25-30kg.

Why? Do you get interference?

Thanks Raptor That might be it. Aerial was always staight up in timber framed house and the bedroom laptop location is app 45 degrees above and to the side of the router app 8m away. Aerial is now bent from moving it and might, by accident, be in the best line of radiation transmission to the laptop receiver as per your diagram. You learn something everyday. Thanks again.

I'm more concerned with the damage I can do to a venue so I will be seeking P.L. insurance. I met my wife when I fell on top of her and her friends in a pub.

Had the wireless router in what I though was the best location, on top of a filing cabinet as high as it could be in the home office. Upstairs had a consistent signal showing signal strengh very low. Repainting the office and threw the router under a shelf below a metal filing cabinet as I was moving furniture. Now have status on signal meter as good. Doesn't make sense somehow.

Got a Asus laptop 8 year old no CD player working, no wireless, fading screen, shorts out every so often, no virus protection, use it as my sacrificial puter, but it just wont die.

I was saying people come up to you and tell you to turn off your shit and play their mp3 instead.

I guess you get what you pay for. If the price is too good to be true it usually is. My light stand was 45.00 and came from China. Should have been labelled TOY.

Pill I wasnt taking the piss out of your light setup I'm annoyed that mine sags with the lightest of weights and it looks like yours does the same.
