bought the DJM 700 and never had a problem with it, love it and the fact that virtually any club that i may play at in the future will have something of a similar layout at the very least.
-
lol at cbg, YOU CAN HOLIDAY IN THE REDS BUT YOU DON'T WANNA LIVE THERE. loved that saying hahaha.
-
bummed that i don't live in sydney
-
Photos? doesn't fit cdj 800's does it?
-
reasonable beatmatching etc between first and second tracks but i think the deadmau5 track drops in with too big of a breakdown from that 1st track which has a reasonable amount of energy going. Liking these little audio clips you have Second mix just sounds a tiny bit sloppy to me but im just being picky otherwise good, i rekon track selection needs a lil work.
-
meh im no fan of gwen stefani but i still rekon its an alright remix, sometimes you just gotta throw some stuff you hate for the chicks.
-
theres still a component to djing further than beatmatching and mixing though, you can still put together a shit ass set with auto beatmatch etc. song choice is a major component of what we are all aiming to/already do.

So I'm looking at a scratching setup ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
DjNikko replied to sonofeevil's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
sorry last post from me, keep the mixer simple you don't want to much crap on there just for scratching something two channel with a fader curve control. EG. though i'm not sure how this is for sound quality its cheap and like i said, simple Link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-Behrin ... 5ad4fd6a6d -

sorry edit to the post above, its direct drive as given in the technical specs on the website, this being driven by magnets in effect your fine on the stantons just one to be careful of in future. -

The one thing i think you have to be careful of is that the turntables are magnets and not belt driven, from what I've heard belt driven is really is to break or wear out scratching, had a quick look through the stanton str8's but can't find a specification, with a name like stanton magnetics you'd think so but i wouldn't take it for granted. -
you know im all for the guestmix thing, can record in a beautiful 320k or more with my new microtrack gimme a yell

Well I finally went and bought myself a recording device at the price of $285 at storedj. Just thought I'd give a few quick comments on my purchase, very happy with what i got in the package except that a compactflash card wasn't included though this was solved up the road with a 2gb vertabrim card at $20. Otherwise a pair of headphones, microphone, usb adapter, small carry bag, and various chargers for countries which i can only guess were included. The redesigned MicroTrack II brings even more professional features to the original high-fidelity mobile digital recorder that’s been embraced by audio and film professionals worldwide. With an extended input gain range, analogue input limiter, 48V phantom power, faster file transfer rate, seamless recording of files beyond 2GB in size and other enhancements, MicroTrack II delivers the highest quality mobile recording experience available today. Simply record WAV (BWF) and MP3 files to CompactFlash or Micro drives through balanced line inputs or built-in microphone preamps—then drag and drop recordings to your computer via high-speed USB 2.0 for immediate editing or Web posting. MicroTrack II is perfect for a wide variety of applications including field recording, capturing live shows, song writing, education and more. Features * 2-channel WAV (BWF) and MP3 recording and playback > perfect for field recording, songwriting, training, education and worship * new features include extended input gain range, analog input limiter and seamless recording of files beyond 2GB in size > enhanced performance * battery operated; storage via CompactFlash or microdrives > mobility and convenience * drag-and-drop file transfer to PC and Mac > upload and share your content in minutes * balanced ¼” TRS inputs with line inputs and 48V phantom-powered mic preamps > professional-quality recording
